The seller is going to physically check the phone as he says it has no SD-Card slot. I wonder if I may be buying what you have been describing. I believe I should be looking for a SM-981U. What model did you have? Any advice grateful.

I ended up flashing it with the stock sm-981U firmware and basically erased it completely to have all the features that were locked out from the T-mobile Firmware(for instance I can NOW use an eSim and upgraded to Android 13 with One UI 5.1 instead of what I was stuck at.
SamMobile.com Has the Firmware you are looking for. Refer to your orignal packaging for what model it exaclty is
and use odin to flash the firmware

verizon should not have the right to remove features on their models of phones to mislead customers into paying for what they didn't get. sure, this phone looks the same as the regular s20 on the outside, but on the inside, I have some things to complain about.
• This phone is marked as the G981V, meaning it's a completely different phone, as you will see explained later. You cannot de-bloat this phone or install the XAA (unlocked) firmware. You only have 3 CSC's (firmware) to choose from. Comcast (CCT, bloat free, all samsungfeatures available), Verizon (VZW, no Hiya call, no samsung cloud, no find my mobile), and Visible (FKR, same as verizon).
• I understand that this phone is a verzion model so some bands will be missing, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they are missing. Band 71 - LTE is missing and you won't find any 5G bands outside of mmWave (260, 261) because that's the BS 5G that verizon pushes.
• No micro SD card slot. How are you going to sell this phone, say it's an S20, and remove a crucial feature to the damn phone? This module only has 128gb, and I'm already using 100gb of that, severely disappointed.
Everything else about this phone should be the same, but I'm constantly reminded of the fact that I will not get any 5G service anywhere I go, only LTE, and I have to keep an eye on my storage space to make sure I don't fill this up. I've already switched to tmobile with this phone and LTE service has been miles better than verizon and I will be buying my next phone straight from samsung. At least I know that I will be getting the phone I paid for.

Don2442, 06 Jun 2022It does have an micro SD card slotWhen I bought mine when they first came out it stated it had a slot for micro SD card. Found out after purchase it didnt.

S20 5G UW (Model SMG981VZAV) is a 5G phone that's designed to work on Verizon's UW(ultra wide ) wireless band. Most verizon phonse are automatically unlocked after 60 days of service, Unless they are financed or stolen. This why Verizon phones are more desirable and sell for more money on ebay, Also This 5G phones supports ( SMG981VZAV ) n2, n260, n261, n5, n66. Which is more expensive as it requires supplemental radio modems and antennas. Please make sure the phone, works with your provider and supports the Bands and frequencies that are used by your provider
