AnonD-1090716, 28 Oct 2023Exynos is good.I think Samsung A54 also perfoms the same speed (not in terms of gaming - I see from the side of a normal user) as S20 FE 5G or A52s 5G. Right?.

Im currently on One Ui 4.1 version and November 1 2022 security patch. Im wondering if I should update to the latest software but kinda worried about battery draining and SoT on the newest version.

s35ym., 19 Oct 2023I think the current gen and the previous exynos chip works well with normal tasks other than gaming.yeah,they're pretty decent, i never said exynos is crap as a whole,i just said snapdragon variant is better compare to exynos equivalent, especially in gpu and heat management.if you don't have a choice then samsung exynos still works fine,especially if you using your phone for normal daily usage, you wouldn't miss much. but if you do have a choice and both of the snapdragon and exynos are available in the same price, picking snapdragon at the moment is a wiser choice. who knows maybe their next generaton flagship exynos with full of amd's gpu based on rdna3 would be legit then we could have a very different discussions

s35ym, 17 Oct 2023What about the exynos 9611 in the Samsung M21 and M31 phone models?.no idea, in my location i rarely seen the m-series, i'm not even sure i ever encounter f-series. it's basically just a and s series for the phone.but quick googling those exynos turned out also being utilized for tab s6 lite. and those tab s6 lite pretty sucks for gaming, unable to run citra/aethersx2/dolphin at full speed. you can't really doing higher end of emulator with mid-range soc and we have to put consideration about the apps optimization. most of the stuff out there for android being developed with snapdragon in mind, since there are abundance of phones using snapdragon out there hence usually the mediatek and exynos counter part perform worse than snapdragon, even if their raw performance probably better than snapdragon, the apps might be not optimized for those soc. same thing with iphone, plenty of apps work hilariously better on iphone than android, genshin impact for instance.and why is that? iphone sold way more than android, the developers most likely would spend more resources and time to optimized their apps on iphone since the specs of the phones pretty much have less variants compare to android, it's easier to develops and optimize apps when you have less variants of hardware to deal with compare to android with abundance types of soc. and they also want to make more money by joining the larger pool, since iphone sold a lot more than android phones

Jio 700 MHz will not work in this patch. But its ok for me.

if your main game is genshin impact, ever consider using iphone? those game performs really well on iphone, the android version really sucks.

s35ym., 16 Oct 2023How is the current exynos chip performing (Samsung A54 model - not comparision to SD) compared... moreno idea,i'm guessing those previous flagship 990/2100/2200 still much better than those whatever exynos they put on those a54. i haven't try it on my own but watching from utube, looks fine if you just using your phone normally, when gaming,that's when problem appears just like the rest of modern exynos, the gpu raw power and the heat issues, it's been like that for years. i've tried s10plus exynos variant, note20 exynos variants, all performing alright i have no complaints, you could see on youtube all those exynos flagship playing games, all performing great but then when you look at their snapdragon equivalent variants and comparing it, the fps differences and performance stability really hard to ignore. that's the thing, equivalent variants. if the other choices of snapdragon were sd765 below or midrange exynos.yeah i'll pick exynos 990 all day

- After a few months of use, i guess battery got slightly better.
- 10/11% goes down every hour when watching videos on YT/Browser.
- I re-calibrated battery thinking it would help...
- But it just made some numbers stay longer and some other less.

-- Follow at own risk. Made my phone at less than 5% last nothing.
- About genshin though...
- 2 and half hours without Game Booster Plus. (Comes installed with phone)
- Otherwise, 3 and half hours with Power Saving / Graphics Quality at near 30%.
- At least with these options:
- Lowest / Medium / High / Low / Lowest / 45 / Low / On / TAA / High / Off .
- Rising Environment Detail to Low or higher with these settings causes more heating.
- Another thing about phone, 1% of battery goes down every hour or 2 with screen off.
- Even if not on use. 2nd hand A21s with same One UI ver. does not do this...
- And lastly, screen has a weird issue where it register two touches instead of one
- at least when squishing whole thumb. Basically, registers another touch with rest of finger.
- Important thing to have in mind when moving camera on games.
- Forget about using phone while charging. Makes touches crazy on vertical sides.
- At least with mine it does that...
