Facing severe battery drain issue since updated to android 13, any out of the box solutions other than putting apps to sleep, lowering brightness, 60 hc refresh rate, dark wallpaper, hv tried everything, nothing seems to work. Any guidance would be appreciated. TIA

Great phone except two issues. The highest update I can get is 11. When I check for updates it says up to date. Also when I'm on data I barely get less than 0.50mbps down. I'm with Qlink. I tried another carriers sim card in it and the 5g Lit up big time. I have occasionally gotten up to 100mbps on 5g but it may have happwnws twice with QLink Wireless. Is it the phone or service or will the updates if they ever download fix this?

No one bashed samsung for removing the memory card slot and the dedicated slot.
One doubt :
Imagine you have 150 GBs of data in the phone memory (say S23 or so). If you do factory reset, will those data get erased?. This is where I am concerned about the future phone models.
If my phone develops a software lag or hangs, I can just backup my SMS and call log to samsung cloud and transfer few files to the memory card and do factory reset any time. This will not be the case of the future phones. Hope you understand.

A52s 5G has 3.5 mm port.

Till now no one here bashed sams... moreSamsung has been bashed for many things,, people still pay Premium to own Samsung devices is because of the brand and resale value,,, Samsung was one of the worst in terms of UI interface and terrible with updates, Remember "TOUCHWIZ" , which was a heavy custom skin,, users voiced there Opinions and bashed Samsung for a long time,, Finally Samsung heard Users Voice and reinvented themselves with one of the best Custom UI known OneUI, Now Samsung ONEUI is among the top UI and Samsung has become the best providing timely and stable updates..
Another thing to remind is Samsung used to make IP68 rated phones which had headphone jacks,, Samsung removed headphone jacks only after Apple Claimed it's removing 3.5mm jack to make phone IP68 rated and to conserve space and type C provides higher Codec Audio profiles
Apple is going to remove 3 more things from the phone,,
1:- Charging port(Going Completely Wireless)
2:- Replacing Volume buttons with Virtual
3 : Can Anyone Guess the 3rd?(meme)

Even though having unlimited 5g still using on 4g while travelling coz 5g is a battery hogger n heats up the device,, blame is not just Samsung but also SD865 with add on 5g modem n now Samsung is advertising unsold S21 FE version SD888(Which is even worse than 865) in India at 50k INR

LF, 10 Jul 2023Even I use it for playing PS2 games as well with full charge 85% , battery drains a lot and h... moredude...we really have different experience with it haha but i didn't test it with any network connection other than wi-fi. i have to try to put my sim card then, hopefully it doesn't encounter similar issues.i know in my experience when you don't have stable network connection, it's always searching for network, the phone could heat up and then just drain battery.i'll report it again
i also using bluetooth controller, i ran the game in native resolution, i haven't try to upscale it,i'll do it later and about 20-30% brightness.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2023i haven't try it, to tell you the truth i wasn't thinking using s20fe 5g as my daily... moreEven I use it for playing PS2 games as well with full charge 85% , battery drains a lot and heats ups quite a bit as well, though I use on low graphic settings between 1.5x to 2x ,, gives about 3.5hrs-4hrs play time until reaches 15% , anyway I also use a Bluetooth gaming controller, hardly makes any difference in battery consumption and heating, have to use without back cover to avoid over heating
