I dropped it countless times. The max that ever happened was to break the screen protector once. Replaced it, not a single scratch in the phone. I use the thinnest possible cover (Nillkin). It is definitely a very resistant phone. I will only migrate from this fone to another S series. I hate Samsung for TVs, but for phoens I am pretty sure it's the best brand and series.

As in will it get that black screen thi... moreI'm not really too sure, maybe Samsung messed up in the screen connector and if you drop it (maybe) it will have a black screen, or due to a bad display, or bad GPU. Bad GPU is less likely, and display connector too, but battery life degrades overtime, and it depends if you charge it till 100% or till 80-90%, as if charging till 100% you get more battery but it will degrade more. It all depends if you want a new phone or not. You're welcome for the help, I'm a phone geek

Honestly, you should pick the A55 because it's newer.

I bought a S21+ in June 2021.
Battery: first year is good, otherwise is bad. 3h on-screen for multi purpose.
Performance: Acceptable. (Exynos 2100) Smooth at video and social media tasks but really hot and slow in game and camera.
Camera: Acceptable. The zoom and wide photo is good but the ultrawide is bad.
In August 2024, my screen was striped with 2 green lines.
It's time to move to a newer one

Had mine for over 3.5 years now. Still works fantastic. Battery starting to degrade but that's to be expected. It's the longest I've kept a phone, and will keep it for at least another 6 months, likely 1+ year.

They consider it a good upgrade to the Rog Phone 9 or 8 pro. I'm not a fan of the cameras.

If you want something the same size at what you have, then I think its really only worth upgrading if you upgrade to the S24 plus, since it has more RAM and has a better build than the S22 and S23+. As far as a cheap backup Samsung phone, I'd say go with the A34 or the M34 as they both have superb battery life. I had the A34 and gave it to my girl, I bought the M34 as a backup and it last forever with it's 6000 mAh battery.
