Samsung Android Rumors

A few days ago, we heard that the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will feature a 200MP primary camera. Now, a new report by the same source, GalaxyClub, sheds light on the Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto unit.

The Dutch publication claims that one of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra's telephoto cameras will have a 50MP resolution. It will be a periscope telephoto unit offering 5x optical zoom. Well, that's the same camera Samsung used in last year's Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The second telephoto camera on the Galaxy S25 Ultra had a 10MP resolution and 3x optical zoom; however, rumors suggested that the S26 Ultra's second telephoto camera would use a 200MP sensor. We'll have to wait for multiple reliable sources to corroborate that to be sure.

Circling back to the Galaxy S26 Ultra's primary camera, some rumors claimed it would have a variable aperture. The Galaxy S26 series is expected to arrive in January 2026, so we'll hopefully have more clarity about the Ultra model's cameras in the coming months.

A good 3x makes the 5x kind of redundant for mid-range zoom

Just left 5x but bring back 10x optical for long range and videos (since 5x videos getting really blurry past ~9x)

You didn't understand: the output photos are always 12.5MP and more than 90% of the ISPs integrated into SoCs can handle 200MP sensors. Interest: the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is significantly less good in zoom quality (x5 48MP) than the Vivo X20...
