samsung flagship devices are the best powerful android smartphones available in the world. Every android os containig backgroup running apps this causes battery drain and its not at all a problem behind samsung galaxy s5 battery. Galaxy s5 battery is packed with 2800mAh.
Comparing to apple devices this is a lots.

I listen to music and audiobooks with no problems at all! It COULD be your APP or some kind of power saving setting... Normally the only time it will stop playing something when the power button is pressed (putting into standby) is with VIDEOS... Try using Google Play Music application... Works for me as well as the rest of my family... If it doesn't, call tech support to find out why... Oh, and you might also try stopping the Google LISTEN app to see if that helps... Could also be a battery saving app (like Juice Defender) that's shutting it down to save battery...

nn, 29 Feb 2016samsung s5 or iphone 5s?Check your settings, I have this phone and this problem has never happened to me, it maybe that you haven't taken off the setting where it stops the music once something is placed over the screen

I like the phone but am so pissed that unless I have a case on it, I cannot listen to music because when I try to lock the screen it stops the song, and if it is in my pocjet...shirt or pants it constantly change, up to and including preparing a text.

I have been found the problem behind my battery issue it's bcz of data cable . I went to Samsung care in Nellore Andhrapradesh india . They told me that we don't have service for S5 u may go to chennai or tirupathi. Which is 200 kms from my native place. Omy god I want to stick a pomp let sorroundin this Samsung show rooms dnt buy these mobiles of this manufacturer I lost my money for this vest mobile.
