WOW I cannot believe there are people still talking and discussion about this phone in 2018, almost 2019 that was basically 5 years ago! I got it when it was released but I had it just for 7 months and then moved to next phone and now the Galaxy S9+

Are you a heavy user and notice any slow downs considering its a 2014 phone with 2gb ram or is it fluid to use as a daily driver with the custom os?
Tried any other os that could be recommended?

I'm playing with this for 10 months. installed lineageos 14.1 from very beginning. Phone has no lags, doesn't freeze, sound quality and picture quality very good. Doesn't heat when bluetooth is in use. Battery is very good quality. I'm still not planning to abandon it. This is the last S* with replacable battery, which for me was criterion to buy it.

IPhone nowadays has cheated many users via their backward technology! Overpriced. You only pay their friendly software that almost worthless and you got old technology with 500% markup profit. Only lazy and illiterate people will buy Iphone.

I have owned a samsung galaxy S5 for 3 years, never had any issues. It performs well.

Been using the S5 for 3 years now, credibly can say its a great, reliable phone for short term use.
- MicroSD allows you to increase memory space
- Familiar stock Andriod UI
- Foolproof so long as you get a good screen protector.
- Waterproof too
- Reliable
Problem is, it tends to slow down & overheat VERY fast, esp with newer modern games.
- Camera's total sh*t in dark light conditions
- It doesn't matter if you replace the battery, the older it gets, the more battery it uses. Used to last a day and half, 3 years later and it's less than 16 hrs.
- Overheating.
- Lags & jitters when you're using different apps. (Probably due to its tiny 2 GB RAM)
- takes a long time to connect to wifi (Have to manually switch it on from settings)
There are better phones out there for this price though, but if you're getting it, use it no longer than 2 years, or only a year if its second hand. Hope this helps.

Please if any one have an idea how to install Offline local Radio on S5 without using internet. Again i recommend any one to buy a secondhand S5 Coz i don't think there are a new ones in stores. Very friendly phone.
