I am using Galaxy S5(SM-G900F) for almost one month. I have upgraded from Galaxy S3. I wish to share my user experience with you.
For me it’s a real up gradation from S3 to S5.
Some features I like most and feel they should be present in all high end mobile.
IP67 certification – Water and dust resistance really required for this type of costly device.
Display quality- Really display quality is different form other display. Put same photo or video in other mobile you will see the difference. Also outside legibility is very good. There will be no problem to read the screen outside with display brightness sate in auto, no need to put it in maximum.
Finger print scanner – I find very useful for me. We have to swipe finger to unlock. We can store different angel swiping. So only placing finger will not work. I feel this is more secured because the user only know the swipe angles.
Heart rate sensor & S health – Really useful for monitoring my health related things like walking, jugging etc.
Battery life – I find it last 25% more compare to my old S3. Though it got bigger screen.
Power saving mode with gray scale and ultra power saving mode really very helpful in some situation.
Download buster- I have tried experimentally few times. As I do not have unlimited data plan. It is absolutely super fast for downloading big size files.
IR remote control – Useful for using as single remote for all device.
Private mode – Similar type third party application people use but now it is installed and better than those third party application.
Touch sensitivity – By applying this I can use anything as s pen.
One handed operation, smart stay, light sensor, barometer, smart stay.
Some features which may be not that much useful or need to be improve.
Smart scroll, smart pause – As they detect user’s eye from front camera there are limitation of those application to work properly. For me smart stay is working very well but Smart scroll & smart pause are not working very well though all are based on same tech.
Air view, Air browse, direct call are working well but I don’t feel they are much essential. But we can deactivate them any time.

Nowadays standard of samsung phones has gone so low that police raid was conducted on a retailer on a customer complaint that he was selling spurious samsung phones.Actually he was selling original samsung phones only.

Yazied, 16 Sep 2014When I receive an incoming call the caller hears my phone ring 4 times before I hear it or bef... moreIt migth be because of the phone have to switch from 4G to another network type (3G or 2G) to setup the call - 4G doesn't support regular calls.
So set your phone to 2G or 3G...

If s5 has such wonderful battery saving mode how come I still see users who compl... moreI've had the Galaxy s5 for a while now, and the battery life is great, and i haven't even had to use the power saving or ultra power saving modes yet, even with constant usage throughout the day i usually only get down to 35-45%, some days i only get down to like 60%. Unless you're watching youtube videos or livestreams in high quality constantly your battery life should be really great.

anti s, 16 Sep 2014for 700€ expensive phone I would expect at least metal, not cheap colored plastic. DISAPPOINTED.Metal isn't necessary to determine the quality of a product. For example consider the aluminum housing of the iphone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, and 6plus. very prone to damage and color blemishes, extremely easy to bend and cause dents, and difficult to maintain ones grip. The metal casing also makes for poor screen protection. If dented towards the screen it will always stay in that position keeping pressure on the glass. This accumulated pressure can easily cause the glass to break from any addition pressure of any degree. plastic is more malleable and tends to recoil back to original design. plastic also absorbs impact while metal tends to allow the flow of impact to travel on through. Metal is poor choice and quality ergonomically and functionally when applied to the exterior of a phone.

I have bought Samsung Galaxy S5 processor is very cheap / unknown brand in indian version while international version has Snapdragon 801 Samsung keep partiality with Indians in spite of huge market in India but no longer they can make foolish as nexus 5 has record break sales this year in India only due to high configuration. Even xiomi/ gionee / micromax / motorola / Oppo gives better hardware.

It turns the screen to grayscale limits the usage of the phone to basic services only while drastically improving the battery life, for every 10% of your current battery life you get day and a half of estimated usage left. I just turned on the feature on my S5 just to give you an example (75% battery life translates to 9.5 days of estimated usage left).
Overall, I am using the S5 for 2 months now, and I must admit it is by far the best phone at the moment for it's current price/performance ratio.

For example, your S5 might be down to 15% battery but you need to check something and at the same time! worried that the battery may run out. On a normal phone, 15% of battery gets you around 5 mins of use. Ultra Power saving lets you browse the web and make phone calls for up to 30 mins at 5% battery.
