Your iPhone 5s and HTC One M8 are more expensive than my S5 and Note 3.
Of ... moreMe and my brother buy things with a proper selection. I can't understand you have three smartphones, three tablets, two laptops, DSLR camera and a digital camera. You have multiple products which give the same utility. That's quite ridiculous. Yeah, I even have an AGK earphone and a headphone, I hate Beats headphones. My brother got even better Sennheiser headphones.
I'm just 20 years old university student and I can't afford everything. I buy things from my savings and sometimes my brother buy me things. My brother is 26 years old and an executive at an IT company and he get a quite good salary and he can buy gadgets for himself, sometimes buy things for me as well.
I can even buy a smart watch, but still, it's a gimmick for me. Spend $300 for a notification device. I'm not lazy enough to take the phone out of my pocket and check the notifications. I would rather spend that amount for an useful gadget.
Before we are going to talk about our houses and cars, let's end this discussion.

Of course I cannot afford them both (iPhone 5s and HTC One M8)!
I can only afford the humble S5 and Note 3.

And please be fair, one against two (you and your brother) is not fair!
What if I tell you my brother has Note 2 and Dell Venue 8 pro and Note 10.1 (2014)?
I also have Dell laptop i7, MSI notebook, Nikon D5100, Samsung digital camera multi-view, Galaxy Gear, Beats wireless headset, Sennheizer wireless headset, Bose Soundlink mini bluetooth speaker.

They are the most expensive phones.

Can't you remember this? Then, you should be a person like Bill Gates. Let me explain the devices that me and my brother own.
*HTC One M8
*iPhone 5s (going to sell soon)
*BlackBerry Z10 (My brother's)
*Galaxy Tab 4 LTE (Brother's, going to sell soon and buy a new upcoming iPad Air 2)
*Custom built high performance PC
*Two MacBook pro 15 for me and brother
*Canon EOS 60D DSLR camera
Me and my brother have a huge passion about gadgets. I never spend all the money merely on Smartphones, but for other types of gadgets also.

Plus three tablets of different brands and sizes:
-7.0" 3G,
-7.85" dual sim with calling function
-and 10.1" with S-pen and calling function, all of which are Android.
And one windows 8.1 convertible 11.6" netbook-tablet.
How is that?

I hope to buy an iPad Air from money. I thought having two smartphones is just useless. It's more beneficial rather having a one smartphone and a Tablet device. If new iPhone 6 impresses me, I will sell my HTC M8 and buy an iPhone 6.

Honour 6 announced one mon... moreTwo years ago Xiaomi releases its first phone, since then there was never any Xiaomi phone releases worldwide. Within that period of time if a brand is successful, it should ships the succeeding units internationally!
I already have S5, Note 3 and the not so good iPhone 4.
But if I am going to trade in my iPhone 4, I chooses Honor 6 against a brand that is not available/known worldwide or not even M8 because it is super dooper expensive!
Anyhow I will just use it as a spare, so no need for your over technical monster specs!
My prime drive is Note 3 by the way.

I will go for which is a... moreHuawei Honour 6 announced in June and Xiaomi Mi4 announced in July. Honour 6 announced one month earlier than the Mi4. Therefore, Honour 6 has more chance to available worldwide earlier than the Mi4. It's the international version of the Mi4 which available to pre-order here.
BTW, good luck for the purchasing of Honour 6.

Pls helpiam using galaxy s5 for more than a month, everything runs smooth than you expect, plus the ultra power saving is superb, the other features are upgraded as well too, the phone battery lasts for such and incredible time, even after hardcore use, I only have to charge it once a day ,so my friend go for galaxy s5,
