Anonymous, 01 Jul 2014Will it come with exclusive Samsung apps... ? I've not used any Google play edition.. Nope, it won't. You can sideload them though. I haven't purchased any GPE phone either, but I might get the S5 GPE when it comes out.

Noted that in India S5 specs mentions "Adonis Prime2 (Quad 1.9 GHz + Quad 1.3 GHz) + XMM6360 Processor", which is Exynos 5420 and doesnt support HMP. I have asked Samsung development team to confirm it. Till then, I am not sure if buying S5 in India make sense.

If you have a LG G2, HTC One, Samsung GS4 or any high spec last generation smartphone, the Samsung GS5 wouldn't make much sense as a purchase. If you have an iPhone or any earlier than the mentioned phones above, the SG5 will offer more than enough. And i say iPhone not for apps or speed, but versitility and options of use.

In less than one year, all mobiles we buy are worthless. New models have very little change and most changes are silly software tweaks.

It is the consumers choice to wait for new model or decide for the current unit. Nobody is forcing you to tie up with the contract.
And not all people are getting a 24-month contract.
Most people buy an open line unit out of contract.
It is eaiser to trade in the old phone to upgrade for the new model.
Unlike the fruit phone, no innovations and no other choice. Just a one basic expensive phone a year.
