UltraHD, 30 Oct 2022You bought a 8 year old device and wonder why it doesn't want to do certain things? Lol. the 9 years old iphone 6/6plus are capable of everything basic you would like from a phone
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2022Via the calling codes. It may not be really related.Ok, I got it.
There are some Android/phone related codes which appear automatically, like *#06# which should show you IMEI IDs of the phone's 2 SIM slots.
But, the network operator codes need to be dialed (you enter the code and press the connect call button)
And they've both been working ok in my older Nokia phones, 8 year old Android based Redmi 2 Prime and my recent LG phone. So, it doesn't seem to be phone's issue.
So, try confirming this with your network operator's retail outlet, maybe the codes have changed.

TheKat, 23 Nov 2022I want this phone but the exynos version since it is octa core. Would be a nice main.Avoid Exynos specially the S5/Noter gens! It overheats causing chip to desolder itself that requires reballing to repair!

But why should a phone show you subscribed package options?
Isn't this something you discuss directly with the telecom service provider?

can anyone pls help me out of this issue!
It's unofficially Android 12L supported if you use a custom ROM
I have had this cellphone since the first release of this cellphone, in its era this cellphone was good because it had so many features compared to other cellphones of its time, and also the camera of this cellphone is also very good until now even though it is inferior to the current flagship cellphone. but in my opinion this cellphone whort it only until 2020, currently I use it has many complaints such as getting hot quickly, battery is wasteful, often not responding, etc. but in 2020 where this cellphone is 6 years old it can still be used smoothly even though the temperature of this cellphone is quite hot.

Im pretty surprised with this one its still a fast phone even today.. well not for gaming lol but for social media use its pretty good tho it heats up alot. its pretty old now so i am keeping this as one of my spare phones just incase it comes handy one day for now im using a newer samsung phone and tablet!
Well... My new battery was good for a few months, then the phone would just switch off at 34% full. Once it switched off at 80% full while I was trying to take a photo of a cat, haha. And when I started charging it, it started from 0%. The problem is that the battery was new and original, but made two years ago, I guess that's when they stopped making them. If you can get one that's still good, awesome. I had the same problem with my old Nokia N8, I bought 3 replacement batteries that were all bad after a few months. Still, I used this Samsung for 5 years, and I bought it when it was 2 years old already, and I don't think I'll ever have such a good, reliable phone again. 7 years!
My sister just bought a new phone and gave me her old P20 Lite, apart from no water resistance and no replaceable battery, it's way more advanced, and I basically can't empty the battery in one day, so I'm fine.
Maybe I'll look for another battery for my S5 later, just to keep it alive. To all of you still using it, good luck!
