when it comes to audio quality HTC One (M8). With quality audio hardware, the HTC flagship manages excellent headphone
output too. The clarity might be only a tad better on
the One (M8), but combined with the far louder
output it's enough to make it the definitive winner
here. I go with htc in this case
when it comes to loudspeakers HTC One (M8) puts great emphasis on the speakers and it comes as no surprise they
The Galaxy S5 isn't that much louder than the HTC
and, due to speaker placement, its loudspeaker isn't
better at notifying you for incoming calls and
messages.so I go with the one m8 in this case
when it comes to app package The HTC One (M8) has
certain hardware advantages, which help it in the
media player department, but Samsung's app package
is richer out of the box. The S Health app is amazing
The HTC One (M8) has an FM radio for those who still
haven't made the switch to Internet streaming. You
might be switching its music and video players
because they lack some needed features and the
Fitbit app is non-exclusive, which hurt HTC's case
here. I steal prefer s5 in this case of app package
when it comes to performance the Samsung Galaxy S5 is Having a bit more CPU oomph, which in turned boosted web performance,
give this victory to the S5.
It's a narrow victory as the One (M8) held its own in
3D gaming and is still one of the fastest phones so the s5 is better when it comes to performance
When it comes to the interface Samsung Galaxy S5 has The extra security and
privacy offered by the fingerprint scanner are great
and we like having Multi Window even if it won't see
too much use for many of the users.
Sense 6 on HTC One (M8) is beautiful and matches
most of the TouchWiz features, but still has some
catching up to do. Samsung galaxy s5 takes it for interface
For battery Samsung Galaxy S5. This was very close indeed, the Galaxy S5 never really outlasted he HTC One (M8) by more than an hour. That's still more than nothing and the replaceable battery will be helpful for those who don't mind carryinga spare. In some regions the Galaxy S5 has wireless charging, in others a wireless charging back cover is an optional accessory. To be fair, most people don't have a spare battery and very few use wireless charging. The battery life of the HTC One (M8) by itself is very good – almost as good as that of the Galaxy S5. For the battery the s5 takes it
Samsung Galaxy S5. Better sunlight legibility is the biggest contributor for the win, but details like more surface area, perfect contrast and colors, the sensitivity start to pile up quick. The HTC One (M8) certainly has a great display, let down in this head to head comparison mostly by its relatively higher reflectivity. s5 takes it when it comes to display
Anyone upgraded from S4 to S5 because i want know if screen is good in bright sunlight ,,S4 is not too bad.I dont care about colour accuracy etc for me its about sunlight legibility. As long as the screen is visibke to read a text or tweet that will do me..
I was getting a second hand Samsung S4 yesterday but had a play with one and now ordered a S5 which is on the way ..I had to order online as our Carphone Warehouse has been out of stock most of the time trying to keep up with orders,,then folk are pre ordering so stock coming in goes to them..They had some blue in but I wanted white.Either S5 is selling well or there is limited stock or our Carphone Warehouse is just not getting enough stock in.
Tcool, 07 May 2014I am not using the phone mobile data Internet.
I connect it to:
-Huawei 4G mobile WiFi when ... moreAre you in UK?
Our 4g is just around big citys and way off big coverage..Some folk are using a MI-FI connected to the Three network to get decent speeds even tho only HSDPA+ some are getting 20Mb/s download from the MIFI..I am on Three network HSDPA+ but get maximum of 5 Mb/s download in my town...
What I am getting at is UK is small island and fairly rich yet compared to some poorer countrys we are miles behind in speed and network coverage,,although they say they have 98% coverage there are thousands of areas with NO signal,nothing..Since using CSD then HSCSD back in 2001 speeds where I live have been pitifull so I am looking forward to 4G..
We should have 4G by end of year where I am but will believe when I see it..The thing is that Three UK are getting better speeds on HSDPA+ than 4G speeds on other networks in most places which is bad news..
Tcool, 08 May 2014Yes but the S-view cover for S5 has a faux leather looks and feel.Actually the Note 3 and S5 Back cover is still plastic, thou it was moulded to look like leather. Now the S5 S-View case is faux leather material with actual stitching along the edges. Compare with Glossy S4 back cover, S5 back Cover look's like a big "Band Aid". Which is ok because it has a better grip.
AnonD-45075, 08 May 2014@ Tcool, I'll only bash the S5 if I have any problems with it.I hope you are telling the truth and will not disgrace your username.
AT, 08 May 2014Very impressive features indeed. Many of Iphone users still will not get impressed. because t... moreNot all i guess. Am an iPhone user since 2007, when my boss gave my an S4 last year i kinda like it because its very different from iPhone. So i use my S4 for work stuff and iPhone for personal use. Then i decided to get S5 two weeks ago, I still use my iPhone as my personal use. They are two Very nice and Very different phones.
Tcool, 08 May 2014Not convincing enough. Try harder. Why should I try harder?? If I say I'm getting the S5, then that's what I'm getting.
13 Mega pixels camera is more than sufficient in a mobile phone. Efforts should be made to have better and better result with subject camera with good hardware and software combination like I phone 5s. Front camera must be 5 Mega pexils for better video / skype call.
So after dissing the Galaxy S5 a few times on this page, I've made up my mind that I'll be getting the S5 in a week or so... I had my eyes set on the Xperia Z2, but here in South Africa, they say that if you accidently damage your Z2, Sony won't repair it.. and with the S5, apparently you can have your screen broken twice, and you get it fixed for free on both occasions.. so ya, S5 here I come.
