Yes I still use it up to this day. I'm yet to see a reason to upgrade. It's a solid feature rich device which stands up to many flagships today. The S5 is probably the most under-rated S series to date. It does more than non-owners would think. I can never get enough of it.

anonymous, 19 Apr 2017this is one of the best. still very good and does not look old if carefully taken care of.You are right. The S5 can still stand up to today's flagships. Monday of this week made it exactly two and a half years since I have my S5 and it still looks brand new with the only peeling being on the USB flap which is expected seeing that for the most part you have to open it and close it on a daily basis.

The DOZE feature is somewhat tricky to find. From the BATTERY menu open the sub-menu (the 3 dots) from the top right hand corner. You can either touch the 3 dots to open it OR hold the recent apps key for 2 seconds or until the menu comes up. After the sub-menu opens just select 'Battery Optimization'.

Ezinna Jerry, 14 Apr 2017How do you make your battery last? Mine leaves 100% to 80% or less in just 10 minutes! And the... moreTo Ezinna Jerry:
If you are using Marshmallow (which I am) go to the BATTERY menu and activate DOZE mode. Turn on doze for all the apps, files and processes. Everything will be in a long list. While you are in the battery menu go to the POWER SAVING option and select ALWAYS SAVE POWER for all the applications in that list.
Secondly turn off automatic updates from the Playstore. Turn of all the motion gestures and sensors. Turn off Wi-Fi, Data, Bluetooth and any other radio you aren't using like NFC etc. Disable things like My Magazine/Flipboard, S-Voice and other stuff if you don't use. By the way, disabling S-Voice will give you faster response when using the Home button. In Wi-Fi mode go to advance settings and disable Wi-Fi always on when sleeping. Set it to never. Finally set your screen brightness to the absolute minimum which is comfortable to your eye.
You can search around for other enabled things that you don't use and turn them off. For instance, if you don't use 3G because you live on Wi-Fi like me then go to the NETWORK menu in the main SETTINGS and change it from WDCMA/GSM to GSM ONLY. I gave you a dozen tips. Please keep me posted and tell me if you see a difference in battery life. On average I get 5-7 minutes on average while browsing on Wi-Fi using the proprietary web browser...not Google Chrome, the other built in browser called Internet. For the record I leave one motion sensor on and that's palm swipe to capture. Please let me know the outcome.
