Nik, 04 Mar 2014To all those complaining about specs, go create your own phone and live happily ever after wit... moreI am totally satisfied with you Bro I earlier think that the design of s5 is bad but when I seen it's review on cnet I realized that it's not ugly while it is quite impressive I want to ask those peoples who posted negative comments about s5 that why they like iPhone when it always has about 2/3 specs than that of Samsung galaxy s series. I think it's a nice phone with really good design and I will definitely buy it. Those who want to go for other brand it's their choice Samsung don't care about them because Samsung has achieved a very high position in the market and they can sell more s5 phones than any other phone of any company except iPhone. But it doesn't mean that I like iPhone.

Samsung has to combine performance, size, usability, long battery life, style, marketing and competition.
If you want better performance go buy a £5,000 PC and advertise it to your firends.

I find it funny that people are whining and being disappointed on a phone that isn't out yet or a phone they will never buy.

so what compare about waterproof or dust proof or not like u live on desert or underwater.
what samsung provide is feature and usefulness. if you want spec, search other phone. Even every1 of you keep complain, this phone still sell well.
like apple. Even you keep thinking iphone have almost same design and their spec almost no different for every phone they made, most of people still buy it. Reason? simple, because :
1. Brand (iOS remind of Apple and Android remind Samsung and no other brand)
2. Feature their provide (Siri for iPhone, and Gesture for Samsung)
Smart people buy smartphone not looking for ultimate spec but for ultimate usefulness and its realibility to make live easier..

Samsung S5 might be very disappointing to its fans as it doesn't anything too exciting, fingerprint scanner is taken up from iPhone 5s and also adreno 330 gpu is now quite oldschool for such a premium droid device hen aderno430 are now in market, also camera is 16mp and secondary 2mp where as other mobile companies such as xolo and micromax offer same specs for nearly 1/3rd the price, including water resistance was to necessary so as to meet its competitors such as xperia Z1 Design is a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT for fans as now change in design is done by Samsung for past 3 years.
Where HTC and NOKIA have been selling its phoes for its build and design, its quite necessary for Samsung to rethink on build of their premium devices.
However with s many dissapointments S5 will be a PICK for its fans as it sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with exceptional power and speed and also 432 ppi super amoled screen.

S4alltheway, 03 Mar 2014design is such a let down, looks like S1 and S2 mixed together.no doubt, they could've used the note 3 style a bit and upgrade the battery. screens fine but the dot thingy. dislike!
better plain or slightlines. or maybe check designs. they can b pretty nice with em.

i dont care what it looks like i think the biggest let down about this device is that they upgraded the s4 to a s/d 800 not long ago
there were so many variants it was really impossible for us to really tell the difference
sadly i think this phone may flop big time and it does not deserve to

And Sony still had a claimed that XZ can be submerged for a certain maximum time, and certain depth.
In Xperia Z, they had this MISLEADING picture of the XZ plunging into water:

LOL. Sony again has a disclaimer:
"In compliance with IP55 and IP58, Xperia Z2 is protected against the ingress of dust and is waterproof. Provided that all ports and covers are firmly closed, the phone is (i) protected against low pressure jets of water from all practicable directions in compliance with IP 55; and/or (ii) can be kept under 1.50 metres of fresh water for up to 30 minutes in compliance with IP58"
So, it's low pressure of water like faucet running water, and can can only take 1.5 atmosphere pressure (1.5m) of water, and only up to 30 minutes.
So Sony or any other company shouldn't be claiming or misleading that their products are "waterproof" or giving out pictures of being dunked into water.
The water resistance is there against rain, accidental drop to a wet ground, and not meant to be abused by silly acts like putting it in beer or an aquarium just to see if it survives. Only noobs do that.
