Is the battery removable?

The critic about the design is ridiculous: the only real noticable difference from every other similar phone with a user-replacable battery out there, is the visual design of the back-cover. Thats about it. Anyway I like the unique combination of water/dust-proof yet still user-replacable battery. What I dont like about for example Sony battery-tests is the fact that they always seems to perform badly in video/browsing endurance. Thats a dealbreaker for me.

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2014Yes I do actually I spotted the awful pentile display on the s3 (306ppi) What a very untruthful claim to actually decipher 300dpi+ and tell us you can see the pixels. You must have super vision.

I am generally a iphone lover bt when i see the specs of this fantabulous phone ,,,,,,,i can distinguish between my iphone 5C and this S5 both are probably gud you can trust upon their functions and internal machinery

But give credit where it's due. Doubling the HD screen resolution will kill the battery faster. Haven't you seen the entire presentation?
The Super AMOLED screen has now better lighting control, water resistance is great to have, new battery longiviety method, HB monitor, fingerprint scanner (not really), faster focus & better HDR camera, and the most highest & fastest wireless connection.
The only thing I was disappointed was the fingerprint scanner reliability.
I really can't believe the spoiled tech enthusiasts are all disappointed.
Get yourselves the Z2, and don't cry later with the usual pathetic battery life flagship Xperia units have and the constant task of charging it most of the time.

What happens to the data once you scan your fingerprint. Does it stay local on the phone or get synced with GCHQ!=P Just curious!

I'm not really an Android or a Sumsung fan, I'm an Apple fanboy.. According to the specs, they are really not that bad, in fact, it has the right number or rams and the right number of cores. Don't forget that Android 4.4 KitKat works on around 512 rams. Add touch wiz to that and you'll need 1 GB of ram. This thing packs 2 which is more than enough. Overall its a great phone but... the design is AWFULL! I've never been a Samsung fan but that doesn't mean their phones aren't any good. If only the design was better. But believe me guys, yes its ugly and yes its an old design, but no matter how much you complain, it will be sold, and sold at a high rate. I myself wont buy an android or a Samsung, but this thing will have a high rate of people who will buy this, whether we like it or not.

nothing to say about this phone , because i see no difference in it , compare to gallaxy s4 , if not for some small adds , the design is poor ( old design ) .. am sorry to say , galaxy s5 is a disappointment ..
