Simple, once again Samsung charges premium prices on a phone made from cheap materials with a dog ugly design. The only people here laughing at you are Samsung.
While Sony use premium materials, that have a premium feel on a more aesthetic appealing phone which is fitting for a premium handset, to deny this would only embarrass you further.
Both screens and CPU's are roughly the same in output, As for the Z2, The Z2 screen is IPS LCD not TFT.
The Z2 has more RAM, more MP camera, larger sensor in the camera, larger battery, stereo speakers.
All round its a better premium package minus the gimmicks.

Samsung and Sony has done the worst upgradation job ever.Upgrading the flagships in just 8 - 9 months with almost nothing.They should plan a upgrade for their flagships only after a period of 18 - 24 months.This would make the flagship customer as well as the critics happy as the change log would be good as well

Been reading the reviews why this phone received such bad voting results.. For some reason I couldn't find any specific reasons why it was bad, just people saying it looks the same as S4 lol am I the only one sensing some apple fanboys here?

Other than design, the s5 is the best all round phone on the market....do your rearearch. Best processor, amazing screen, amazing battery life, not a fingerprint magnet, 16mp cam which is a nice upgrade from the s4.....so why are people complaining? Because it looks similar to the s4? Lol its the galaxy series what the hell did you want it to look like lol. People just complain with no valid reason. I will buy this device.

Last year they beat HTC One with better 60... moreI'm pretty sure you won't notice in real world the difference between SD801 vs SD800 but you may get out of RAM due to the heavy TouchWiz UI. I would've taken the extra GIG of RAM anyday

tooooooooooooooooooooooooo much expensive..if you want high specs, buy laptop..if you want high resolution camera, buy SLR..

again Samsung hardware is still superior to others. Last year they beat HTC One with better 600 Soc, this year they up one notch above Sony Z2 with a MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801.

What an ugly looking device. Samsung is really pushing it. Also I am not sure why Samsung is adding features, instead of focusing on stabilizing the current features. BAD UGLY DEVICE. By the way I own a note 3 and it does feel cheap when I compare ot to Sony, HTC, LG devices.

It's a modern flagship, after all, not some 700-Euro-with-small-battery-and-NSA-backdoor featurephone. It's a greater upgrade over the S4 than the Z2 over the Z1, and it's waterproof as well. Why is it that people think it is so bad, when companies like Sony make smaller upgrades, with poor cameras to boot.

Yes i agree. the fingerprint sensor was a bad bad move becouse everyone will think they ripped of apple in wich they didnt really do.. long story but it has been a thing on android since a whiiile back.
The 801 snapdragon is a typical move. they come out with the best performing cpu on the market so everyone that makes the 800 snapdragon cpus become jealous and try beating it and there. samsung just pushed technology forward instead of going with the flow of the 800cpu

What do you want from it?! To drive you to work?! Take kids to school?! Make you a lunch,with low calories?! Wash your laundry and so on...?! And how is Xperia Z2 different than Z1?!?!??!? Thiner bezels??? Hahaaaaaa...you people need to talk to someone...
