I ended up going for the S5, put in a 128GB evo plus micro SD and wrapped it up in a Lifeproof Fre case. Please be aware of Eco problems with the Lifeproof Fre S5 cases when used under certain conditions. Personally I chose survivability over sound quality as I can always put the ear pieces in if it happens to get to bad.

Mine is missing quarter of it's but that's to be expected, it started losing the paint this year. Not bad in my opinion.

I have my S5 for almost 2 years and my battery charging port cover is still intact as it was from the moment I took it out of the box. I don't see it as being flimsy. It's all about how you handle your phone.

Format is too long and narrow. Videos look very confining because or the narrow format. Waterproof nature is worthless since the recharging port cover is so flimsy it fell off after the 2nd week. Didn't the designer realize that it would have to be opened and closed nightly for recharging?
