AnonD-295876, 06 Jul 2016Nexus 5x will be the best choice.There are too many choices around the same price tag.
Oneplus 2 and Xiaomi Mi5 are worth considering too.
There are also LG G4 which now at the price drop to comparable cheaper end.
On sheer performance/price consideration, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro and Vivo V3Max also are cheaper or comparable alternative to Nexus 5X.
At least those on the comparable end, give you option for 64GB version, and also Micro SD slot, bigger battery and battery life.
You may argue software wise, Nexus 5X has the latest update, and also faster software experience. But those alternatives I mention certainly not slow either, maybe just a bit slower on overall navigation.
No latest Android OS on these alternatives also doesn't means you cannot Whatapps, Facebook and web browsing, and cannot install your favorite apps, those apps just work fine as those on Nexus 5X, the so called bloatware actually doesn't distract overall usage, as long as they can be deactivated, or no need open them at all.
You got to consider the pricing, battery life, and other stuff that other phone offer too.
Not here to bash the Nexus 5X, but do compare those alternative that also worth considering.

Do not "upgrade" to Lollipop, ie Android 5.0 . It drains the battery almost twice as fast on S5 compared to Kitkat, and you get nothing really worthwhile by upgrading.

i bought the samsung galaxy s5 in 2014...i suffer from its flickering problem...the display goes on blinking continously at low brightness...
some times when i press the lock button,the display goes on black...i search on google for solution but soltions does not work...it still flicker

Why samsung galaxy s5 sm G900f not updating from device. Its ask about samsung kies to pc. Is there no ota update for it????? The device still running with kitkat.... plz tell me why its not updating from setting/ about device

hallo guys...i have a galaxy s5 sm g900f on android 5.0.1 rooted..i want to upgrade it to android 6.0 using ODIN but when i flash the files,it doesnt turn on.....i have so far tried 2 files one from Sirilanka and another from UAE and it flashes very well and shows installing apps and then shows samsung logo while turning on AND DOESNT GO PAST THE SAMSUNG LOGO....when i go to download mode,it shows that its already running android 6.0 but i donno why it doesnt start up....i have tried wiping dalvick cache and hard reseting it before flashing the firmware but still it doesnt turn on after flashing the firmware file using ODIN.......PLEASE HELP ME. ashpounds44@gmail.com

There's something I need to ask.I just bought S5 2weeks ago.But it have already problem like the fingerprint scaner,Sometimes it's not working.I need to restart my phone in order to use the fingerprint again,Another 1 is the back cover of my S5.It looks like it's not fitted properly.Is that normal?.I hope someone will reply.
