it shows fade colour'... moreYes we all are facing the same prob
Let's hope samsung will fix it soon
I had an"insert sim card" error on my phone, sometimes almost everyday so I took the phone in to local Samsung Repair Centre. Apparently quite a common fault on S5. They had the phone for 1 day and repaired it under the ADH claim as a water damage claim. It hasn't been near water but as ADH Warrantee gives me either 2 water damage or 2 cracked screen repairs I allowed them you use 1 claim. They replaced almost everything in the phone- motherboard, both cameras, charging port and cover; Co axial cable and some other things. All free of charge. Phone is working fine now and feels like new. 2 weeks since repair and the sim card error hasn't reappeared. Phone is 2 years old in Dec 2016.

I just started using Marshmallow on my S5...it's not even a day yet but I will share my preliminary findings so far. The Marshmallow operating system is really fast ONLY if you do a CLEAR CACHE and FULL WIPE DATA FACTORY RESET otherwise it may perform slower than a snail. Battery life is BETTER. At first it seemed to be worse but I got to understand that the smartphone was studying my usage habits...it states it when you open the battery app. Battery life definitely got better in no time. I haven't even gotten access to the Doze feature as yet due to Marshmallow studying my usage pattern and the battery life is already better. I normally use POWER SAVING with KiKat and Lollipop but I'm not doing so with Marshmallow as I want to test out the biggest claim that graced Marshmallow, better battery life.
There also seems to be some new features like continuos low energy consumption bluetooth scanning for nearby devices for this and that...which can be disabled. I have left that feature on for the time being.
Most importantly this is the smoothest I have ever seen the S5. It's smoother than butter now but there seems to be a bug as the system audible notifications are low in volume which also goes for the shutter sound in the camera...I can live with that. Regular notifications like Whatsapp, sms etc. are very loud, probably louder than before. Calling volume seems to be louder than before as well...I was on a whatsapp call earlier on loudspeaker and even though the volume was turned down to less than half it was still loud. There is a lot to like based on my preliminary findings.
WHAT I DON'T LIKE:
If you have enabled fingerprint unlocking, after a restart you have to enter your unlock password. You will then get to use your fingerprint when the phone goes back into lock state. I don't see the logic behind that but maybe Samsung knows best.
I liked the idea of having a vibrate effect once the fingerprint scanner recognise your finger. This feature was introduced in Lollipop. It was a nice feature because you could close your eyes and unlock your phone, or simple not have to look at your S5 screen to see if it got unlocked as once you felt the vibration after running your fingers over the scanner, that simply meant your phone was unlocked. Well, with Marshmallow whether or not your fingerprint is recognised there's a vibration...so it's back to KitKat days where you have to look at your S5 to see if it was unlocked.
Apart from those two gripes which I can live with, Marshmallow so far seems to be greater than KitKat and Lollipop. I will give a full review in the near future...even though this may have seemed like a full review (smile).
