I've bought the S5 duos and its a great phone. However, I am missing a LOT (about 50%) of texts. I have both SIMs to a major UK network, one as a personal and the other as a work number. Calls/data seem OK but a lot of texts just arent received (sending is fine). A friend bought the same phone at the same time and is having an identical problem even though he is with a different network. The phone is UAE build running Jelly Bean XSG Firmware. Anyone else experience this problem? Anyone find a solution?

But you cannot find those choices with other brands/models, can you? Other brand/model may give wireless charging but no water proofing and others may give you water proofing but no wireless charging. It's your choice.

In some reviews in YouTube i found that if we use wireless charging receiver then the water proofing may get affected. This may create some gap in the rubber shield. Pls advise.
Pravin, 17 Jul 2015My friend LTE - 4G WCDMA - 3G GSM - 2GHow come he is saying the other SIM becomes 3G when use as default? Of course it will not. It will remain as it is from the previous setting. If SIM 1 is set to LTE, SIM 2 will be GSM only and it will not change to 3G as long as SIM 1 is LTE! Clearly he's lying!

There are only "LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)", "WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)", "WCDMA only" and "GSM only". Now please tell the truth and nothing but the truth.

They are both data SIM? You mean you cannot use your work data SIM for personal? Is it lock to the company? Weird...
AnonD-417748, 15 Jul 2015Hi All, Can someone from Australia confirm if Sim1 and Sim2 can get 3G/4G and use data on bot... moreI have Telstra sims in both slots and continually swap from one to the other for data (one is personal, one is work). The only issue I have is after swapping, it defaults the data to 3G, and I have to go to "More Networks" and change it from 3G to 4G. If anyone can work out how to set the default to 4G please let me know :-)
AnonD-417748, 16 Jul 2015Thanks for that. One sim is personal and one is for work purposes. I currently own the S4 min... moreSetting the network to LTE will get different signal strenght compared to setting it to GSM only. If you are not using data (i.e. use for calling and SMS only), better set your network to GSM only to get a better signal reception. If your SIM card is data SIM, it will have weak signal when set to GSM only. So figure out which SIM card is for calling only and which one is for data then set the SIM card slots networks accordingly.
Thanks for that.
One sim is personal and one is for work purposes. I currently own the S4 mini duos and i am having issues that the sim2 hardly gets any coverage and its a telstra sim. And sim1 is optus where i normally use the data on. As i live in Darwin Optus sim needs to be in sim1 slot so i get the full coverage/signal and therefore dont want to use the telstra sim2 in sim1 slot. I dont mind if i dont have data on sim2 just want it to have the full capabilities like sim1 so i get the same coverage/signal strength like i would if its in sim slot1. Hope this makes sense. Thanks
Hey guys. I bought this phone 2nd hand in Pakistan (Shimmering White). So far, I belive this is one of the best phones I ever bought. It was already updated to lollipop, so I had second thoughts, but the dealer said that nothing will happen.
Honestly though, lollipop seems to be like a huge improvement. The looks, the feel, it's pretty great. The battery life has increased and apps run buttery smooth. I know people have made bad reviews about lollipop, but I haven't experienced such things.
The only thing I don't like about lollipop is that the phone heats up more quickly than usual. This problem is very common when it comes to lollipop. The heating sometimes freaks me out, but I don't think it will have any drastic effects.
Honestly speaking, if you want to update to 5.0, please don't hesitate to do so. The design is amazing, and I definitely think you will be impressed. It's like I'm using the S6.

If you use SIM1 for LTE, SIM2 will be on GSM only. If you use SIM2 for LTE, SIM1 will be on GSM only. And who the hell will subscribes to two data plans at the same time? Even rich people wouldn't do that!
Can someone from Australia confirm if Sim1 and Sim2 can get 3G/4G and use data on both Sims? or it still uses that Sim1 gets everything and Sim2 gets 2G only?
Eric, 14 Jul 2015Will this work in the US with LTE?Yes of course!
