Hi,
i am thinking of buying S5 Duos G900FD which is sold in middle east (KSA).I want to know if i am using 4G internet on one sim1 .. so will be my sim2 active that time ,can i receive calls on sim2 when i am using internet from sim1 ???

My question is that U have mentioned... moreIt depend on how pressure this phone can handle under water and for these standards that samsung follows IP67 it can handle 1 meter for 30 min
Its really good and shocking feature IF its really can handle it

(1)... Any of the 2 SIMs can receive call if the phone ... moreboth sims will receive calls whn the phone is idle same as in all other duos (like s4 mini duos grand 2 duos etc..)
One sim will be deactivated only whn u r on a call in other sim

I went on the YOUR UE site and downloaded the user manual. I copied the following from the downloaded PDF file "Activating SIM or USIM cards, On the Home screen, tap Apps → Settings → SIM card manager. Drag one or both of the
switches for the SIM or USIM cards to the right.
If both cards are activated, you can receive calls and messages on each card. However,
if you are on a call using one card, the other card cannot be used to receive new calls". IT IS DUAL STAND BY NOT DUAL ACTIVE. Samsung state this is to save battery drain.

Please Clarify the below queries...
(1)... Any of the 2 SIMs can receive call if the phone is idle...?
(2)... Both SIMs can be used for calling and text just like Galaxy Grand 2 Duos...?
(3)...If one SIM is having Postpaid plan and on International Roaming, while the 2nd SIM is having prepaid plan with local network...then can both be set as active all the time...?

Before this wonderfull handy, I used Iphone 5 and a Samsung S4 mini dual sim I9192. Except the constructin materials, witch ar not looking premier like in the Apple products, I can tell you it a very good phone.
It's not dual active, but you have an option named SIM DUAL PERMANENT ACTIVE. This will actuvate the sim options forwarding and the phone will be able to act like a dualsum active phone ( only for plan, in Ro it can't be used for prepay sim).
It's LTE, for the both sim's.
Good batery backup, whole day with wifi activated and 1.5 h with 4g, with 5 email acconnts, some Internet and some Facebook. I take it from charging at 7 am and at 9 pm it still has 46%.
Very good camera, clear pictures but a little bit to saturate colors.
Very fast procesor.
It worth, but a little bit to expensive.
Overall, it's a very good handy, with a lot of features and a very stable software. Ios remains the best software, but Android is more versatile and customizable.

Please check www.samsung.com/ae for clarification. I am not sure its whether its for Arab Emirates only or not.

run, 26 Aug 2014s5 duos is dual active. it will receive call even when u r talking on one simI don't know just where you got that information from, but you cannot receive a call on one sim whilst talking on the other sim. The phone is dual standby and NOT dual active. The reason for this is that it saves battery life between recharges. Dual active phones drain batteries way too much (basically you are using two phones on the one battery with dual active)you can however receive msgs on one sim whilst talking on the other, but you CANNOT receive a phone call whilst talking on the other sim.
