Camera in smartphones is for capturing instant moments when your digital camera is not ready.
Therefore the photo quality should be good as well.

advice, 01 Jul 2014i am also going to buy a mini phone,i almost bought the xperia compact but luckily i didn't,,,... moreI've heard of that issue. But it was in initial release. later releases are defects free. So no need to bother about flash bleeding issue now.
Anyways, i checked many samples images of Z1C at night and they were not good. But camera does well in daylight. Whatever i have a digital camera, so I am not bothered about it.
I like its design, size and power compared to any other mini's... :)

S4 mini has better screen size vs phone si... more326ppi is better than S4 mini 256ppi.
And the band aid look is better than the glossy plastic look. LOL!
Adding the water resistant in case you get cought in the rain with your phone in the pocket and no other choice but to get wet.
Anyway you can always bring a plastic bag to wrap your S4 mini in case it rains. Wahaha!

The specs are a bit of an upgrade, great if you do sporting activities(waterproof) but if not, you could settle on an s4mini or even and S3(if size os not an issue). They still offer good value. I prefer the compact versions as theu are easier to take with on my runs....

S4 mini has better screen size vs phone size ratio, bezels on S5 mini are too thick. CPU too weak and price too high. Really, Samsung?
