Samsung Android Rumors

Once again the Samsung Galaxy S5 is on the horizon and as always is making sure our rumor-o-meters are going wild. This time we're dealing with a relatively old rumor but one following logic and carrying a little more details.

In order to match the trend Samsung is reportedly including a fingerprint scanner, embedded into the Galaxy S5's home button. The device will be able to store up to 8 fingerprints and use those to unlock the phone, sign into a Samsung account or into the new rumored Personal Folder and Private Mode, in which users will be able to store apps and files for their eyes only.

Another tidbit of information is that unlike Apple's iPhone 5s Touch ID scanner, Samsung's will need users to swipe their fingers along the home button and the fingerprint will appear on screen in the process.

Previously there were talks of a retina scanner but plans of that were reportedly dropped. The specs of Samsung's next flagship suggest 3 GB of RAM, Snapdragon 800 or 805 chipset, with a quad-core Krait CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz, 16 or 21 MP camera, 5.25" QHD (2560 x 1440) display and perhaps will feature a TouchWiz with flat round icons which we saw in the Unpacked 5 invite from Samsung, which strongly suggests the device will become official on February 24.

We'll naturally be there for the unveiling and will bring you all the details as they emerge.

Come on bro! I also had mentioned in my latter comment that fingerprint was used in Moto for the first time. What I meant to say was why did Samsung not implement it that time when Moto used it, why does it always follow Apple?? Regarding S-Air/...
