I did update anyway. It's nice. No performance mode or resolution change. New messages, gallery, and camera interfaces. Looks nice and feels ok. Will need a few minor updates but so far so good. Will see battery stats after tomorrow...
I got update but haven't yet updated my phone. Will wait for review. Does someone have some feedback? But just official update.
Anonymous, 23 Mar 2017G920i - S6 or s6 edge Asian region have never received Nougat update. It was a fake report by... moreYes it's fake news even some news papers also declared about same without checking authentication of truth.
Got a 320MB update a week ago (have the 920F variant). Noticed some icon design changes and the security patch is now dated to 1st February 2017 (from October 2016). Still on Marshmallow and I noticed better RAM management. Saw some issues with battery level indication (ie my phone was at 1% battery, put on the charger for a few seconds and remove, stayed on 6% for around 30 minutes of calling before it suddenly hit 1% again).
I think people need to relax and just wait. Regardless of your excuses for always wanting the latest and greatest, seriously, people these days just ain't thankful enough.

Dany16, 19 Mar 2017How bad??Most people got like 15-30 minutes extra sot compared to Marshmallow. Some got more and for some it was worse than Marshmallow.
The ui feels much better on Nougat though. It's like you just purchased a new smartphone for free.
But wait for the official ota update. Flashing nougat from other regions resulted in instability for some guys.
i updated it to android 6 since then finger print not working. Any solutuion???
SubZer0, 19 Mar 2017It's a little better than Marshmallow, but it's still bad!How bad??
Anonymous, 18 Mar 2017I don't get why people keep updating their phones when planned obselense is no longer a myth. ... moreAgreed with you on this matter.
It is best to let the update to inform you that new update is available.
I had this issue because i force update and then face problems.
I had 2 S5 of different models with 16GB & 32GB storage.
The S5 32GB was notify me on update is ready.
After updating the S5 32GB and i force update on S5 16GB.
S5 16GB then start to have problems.
To resolve the problem, is to do factory reset and it is different version.
After this experience, i prefer to wait for the update notify me then update.
Each variant &or model may be different in version as 5.0 and 5.1
Does the S6's battery life get better on Android Nougat??
And if it doesn't, is it that big an issue??

Every app works beyond KitKat. You don't need to upgrade if you have at least KitKat. Upgrading will always lead to problems designed to make you buy a new phone. So you can enjoy bragging to people that you have nougat at the cost of a useless phone that will overheat its way to an early grave
Anonymous, 15 Mar 2017Wait is E7420 is more powerful than E7880 used in the A5 2017? Yet the speed tests shows that ... moreOf course s6 exynos 7420 is way more powerful. Its gpu has 8 cores for gaming/graphics vs only 3 in the 7880 which also has less powerful 8 cpu a53 cores compared to 4 a57 and 4 a53 in the 7420.
A series have only better battery life. That's it!
Anonymous, 16 Mar 2017yes US versions use snapdragon which is built for network bands in the US. Europe versions use... moreS6 uses Exynos chip only both in eu and us and global. No snapdragon in s6!
It's the bands network that are different.
That's why no 4g in different regions.
