Try to switch off Google Now and Google voice assistant, it will help to increase your battery usage time!
CAPTAIN HADDOCK, 19 May 2015Dear Cheong, have you ever wondered why the centre hardware button is there in Samsung phones... moreSamsung's button is round rectangular shape, Apple is round shape, is this called copying?
Try to search those Chinese brands and you will know what is the meaning of copy!
Scorpio, 18 May 2015Wow what an amazing experience. I am also in Australia (Melbourne) and I also had an S2 which ... moreScorpio I was on a cruise but each day we would go ashore in zodiacs in various places, Old Whaling stations, A US research station, penguin rookeries, a british station l, hiking etc. Anyway the point is a sealed phone is fine for everyday use in urban areas but for redundancy a removable battery and swappable SD card are invaluable. most people reading this will think it's unnecessary until they're faced with the problem.
AnonD-365011, 19 May 2015Well, Samsung is indeed the current tech beast in Asia/the rest of the world. If you have w... moreI have to agree with that too. Except for a few things. Not all of them use samsung and lg product. More often than not many of these celebrities are caught using iphone 5s and iphone 6 behind camera and in their airport fashion. The samsung and lg are just sponsored items for the drama. They are very open minded unlike apple fanboy that bash everything that is not apple or android.
Really, "Non-removable Li-Ion 2550 mAh battery" (2600 mAh in the Edge) and __"MEMORY Card slot No, Internal 32/64/128 GB, 3 GB RAM"__.
So non-removable battery - ok You'll probably move on to next phone before phone's battery "dies", but NO memory card slot - sure 128 Gm phone have enough storage, but it makes the phone expensive (I think 32 GB + 64 GB micro-sd card is cheaper and the sdcard is easy to change - right? ).
Some (selective) specs (I own S5 and I list mostly the pros of S5):
Galaxy S6 Galaxy S5
Battery 2550 mAh, 2800 mAh,
non removable ! removable
Bluetooth v 4.1 Bluetooth v4.0
USB 2.0 USB 3.0
No MHL MHL 2
4G - not sure 4G LTE
2G GSM, 3G WCDMA,
4G LTE FDD)
Octa-core (Quad-core Quad-Core, 2,5 GHz
1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 &
2.1 GHz Cortex-A57)
64 bit 32 bit
Surely S6 have some improvements/additions that makes it "a better phone", but it lacks the key specs I need like removable battery, External sdcard - maybe need to reduce production cost, who knows?
I plan on purchasing the Samsung galaxy s6 tomorrow, I can hardly wait to try it out and actually use it. From the photo's that I have seen, it is a very beautiful and attractive phone on the market today.keep up the good work, samsung. The video was very helpful and useful as I have made my final decision.
Breaking New Sammy missed 1st month Target of shipped Phone. Left Adobe sold out. What Will happen 70 million forcasts. By 3rd qtr it Will be at Par Either Chinese max300 dollars. Sammy has into curved Edge only, as BB intro square passport. Price touching thousand dollars with innsurance, emerald and blue color hiding being.
AnonD-35217, 18 May 2015moved from galaxy s4 last week thinking it was a serious upgrade. battery improved a lot since... moreIf the software is giving you problems then that is either Android or the app itself.
Anonymous, 19 May 2015I'm with you too. I don't envy america one bit. They are not even as advanced as Asia in term ... moreWell, Samsung is indeed the current tech beast in Asia/the rest of the world.
If you have watched Age of Ultron, you could tell Korea is very willing to turn itself into a big high-tech country just like Japan and USA...
I don't know if you like Korean dramas or not, but their new dramas just show that they love using Samsung and LG, driving Hyundai and Kia cars...
It is a specialy country that not only possesses the good things inherited from ancient time, they also like to combine every good old thing they have with the latest technology in cosmetic surgery, super fast internet and heavy industry....
Actually Korea ranked the fastest 4G internet speed, no wonder mobile phones is one thing they are really good at.
Just sent back a new iPhone 6, did not feel or look as nice as my old Galaxy s3. Ok the back of the iPhone is nicer, to nice not be put in a case ( for risk of scratching) thus hiding the nice metal back. Shame the S6 has copied that. Also some apps I need just can't be installed on the paranoid Apple device (wifi analyser, for example) new sammy s6 now on the way. Apples AirPlay is much easier to use Than any sammy or android device... But that's the only plus for apple
CAPTAIN HADDOCK, 19 May 2015Dear Cheong, have you ever wondered why the centre hardware button is there in Samsung phones... moreSo Apple own the copyright to any button in the centre of anything? Wow they must own copyright to the humble bell-push, the traditional car horn button and the switch on my kettle.
Pear, 19 May 2015With all due respect, no one in Europe at least envy americans...most Western and Central (Eas... moreI'm with you too. I don't envy america one bit. They are not even as advanced as Asia in term of technology.Lg, samsung, sony, htc are all top smartphone maker from various countries in Asia like Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan. Apple only have quality to brag about but zero innovation that can bring us forward into the future of tech. This criteria only exist in Asian smartphone market where innovation is taken seriously. Beside, i agree that Samsung marketing team is undeniably one of the best in the world as I had seen a lot of their ads and gimmicks(which is agreeably good) on tv and youtube.
Sam Cheong, 18 May 2015Can you show us the evident of Samsung S6 is copying iPhone?Dear Cheong, have you ever wondered why the centre hardware button is there in Samsung phones? That's the most important reason for me to say Sammy imitates the appy!
Scorpio, 19 May 2015Saurav I could not agree more. But I think people envy Americans and their way of life, big ci... moreWith all due respect, no one in Europe at least envy americans...most Western and Central (East is slowly there as well) European countries have higher standards of life than Americans...none of my friends who've been to the states said they ever want to live there...too much crime and the gun culture doesn't really sound too inviting...
Speaking about companies, I think america is a place like any other, it has some good and bad companies...when it comes to technology, Apple is just like any other company, they have some decent and some weaker products. I, for one, like their iMac desktops and i think i will continue buying those...however, in the phone category, flagships from LG, Samsung, Sony and HTC will always have the upper hand, because Apple just isn't innovative enough...they rather spend millions on marketing which obviously works for them. Howver, you can't win critics, tech magazines or techy people with marketing, you need a bit more than that. Until that happens, the iphone will never even see a top 5 best smartphones in the world....
