I don't get all that frustration shown over here, unless you desparately want a Galaxy S6 (and no other phone) with those functions.
kiki, 03 Apr 2015Do you see the video on you tube
SquareTrade bending s6 edge
look the video ;)It's a Edge being bent with heavy pressure, not a normal pression.
All that is interesting here in that test, is that the M9 isn't that "tough" as the hype over it, heavy for nothing.
nick, 03 Apr 2015Not stop but slow down, ease customers' pockets, save even more battery life and or use the ex... moreFair enough I do respect your opinion. Qhd also makes difference when playing videos or watching movies , you will see the difference in resolution. Anyway that's not the point as it might be important to some. I suppose they could have included fm, but they got rid of it since S4 launched. There are plenty of great handsets released later that have fm radio, you can go for those.

Its clear a 720p 326ppi screen is all that's necessary.

I thought s6 would be the best phone so far but note 4 is the best. For something new I'll have to wait for note 5.

Also gear vr, is another reason for qhd screen. If the battery life is reported as good and excellent personally it won't matter to me.
If you don't believe me check and realize one wont even need more than 720p (3 inches = 7.5 cm). Remember eyes lose sharpness at 12cm.
aod, 03 Apr 2015First off that was pre-release version, s6 matches S5 in great battery life, and S6 edge match... moreBut can't one just imagined the great battery life if the screen had stayed at 1080p given that the sharp user interface or UI, movies and games depend on the content source (UI are hd, fhd or 4K design to keep the device display from looking jagged) and most games or movies are in 720p and 1080p) and stretching is not the same.
Every review of a 1080p vs 4k shows that differences are only noticeable under microscope, so I have to ask do people use their phones under microscopes given that the human eye loses focus or sharpness of anything closer than 12cm (try it for yourself and see).
ppi is also a big contributing factor with the truth being 300ppi as the limit one could see on a screen 6 inches or less, so the 2k screen with extra ppi only waste battery life and makes the phone more expensive.

we loved the Samsung Galaxy in general because of the many features, one of them is the memory card, removable battery, 16 MB camera...... why on Samsung Galaxy S6 you removed some of those great features. I'm really not happy with this.
Anyway, I don't blame you guys as you want to support your brand but if you were me and saw the things that I have seen you would change your mind about this company!
1701, 31 Mar 2015With regards to iPhone 6's design I would direct your attention to Samsung Ativ S from 2012, i... more@aod, @1701. It is really ridiculous to think apple copied Samsung Ativs 2012 design. Pioneering is about inventing a new idea or re-inventing an old , bad, unprofitable or bankrupt idea. Apple is very good in invention and re- invention. Apple has brought a lot of pioneering features to the mobile industry, recently are the voice command (Siri), 64 bit mobile operating system, finger print touch ID, Apple pay (mobile payment) , a very simply and user friendly interface and operating system. All of which Samsung and other major phones have followed in doing too. I know a lot of people will want to disagree on apples pioneering role in all the things above but you have to realize that if not for Apple most of the ideas above were not in existence or have been tried but failed by other companies in the past until Apple re- invented those ideas. Let's take the NFC, practically all major phones except Apple had it since 2yrs now but did nothing useful with it until Apple came up with the payment system and now Samsung has followed with their own Samsung pay pal , some people will now want to say but Samsung put in NFC first , the issue is what did they do with it before the Apple pay. Another feature is the finger print which was a bankrupt abandoned idea by Motorola and no other company was going in that direction until Apple re-invented the idea and turned it into millions of dollars and the result is most companies have followed it. Let now come back to the design issue. The ist iPhone is just a smaller version of the iPhone 6 in terms of the structural design , as in the rounded edges. So it's ridiculous to say Apple copied Samsung Ativs 2012 design when it was used in the first iPhone back in 2007. But let us even assume Apple copied the Samsung Ativs 2012 design, don't you wonder why Samsung had to wait for Apple to use that same design before they used it again in their premium phone. It was a design that was not continued after 2012 meaning it was a poor design to Samsung and was never included in any of their premium phones not until Apple turned that same design by your own assertion into millions of dollars in iPhone 6 and all of a sudden Samsung just realized its 3yr old abandoned design is a winner. I don't have a problem with phones copying one or two features from another. Apple borrowed the antenna lines from HTC M8, but if you place both the iPhone 6 and HTC M8 side by side you won't think they are same bcos they are different in their overall design. So I don't have a problem with Samsung copying Apple, but the problem which I have with the GS6 and which a lot of people and reviewers have with it is that it looks exactly like the iPhone 6, as in an exact copy of iPhone 6 save for the shape of the finger print scanner. Is it a coincidence that Samsung had to wait for Apple to introduce the rounded edges , antenna lines , one touch finger print (as opposed to Samsungs swipe in GS5 and note 4) in the same phone before they do it too. Have you even looked at the base of the GS6, the position of the headphone jack, the charging or docking port and the speakers, they are exactly where Apple put them in the iPhone 6. And now again the introduction of the non removable battery and absence of micro sd slot. Samsung couldn't even hide their 'Copy Cat' this time around. By your assertion Apple may have copied some features from other phones but you can not confuse them with one another unlike the iPhone 6 and GS6 similarity. You will see when Apple decides to make an iPhone with a curved display what they will do with it instead of Samsung just putting it and doing nothing in particular with that curved display, I predict by then Samsung may have abandoned the curved display. I still maintain my assertion that the GS6 is just an iPhone 6 with a Samsung logo on it with better specifications which might not mean better performance on the long run. I still maintain my assertion too that it's a very very good phone in design and specifications and will definitely give the iPhone 6 a run for the crown. As an iPhone owner , can I buy the GS6 , the answer is NO. There is just this smoothness and simplicity yet very powerful feel you get with Apple products which is addictive, and also the smooth integration amongst their product that makes you tired down with them.

So the best course of action is to wait. Also with that device it will bend of course.
I look the SquareTrade ,maybe is stonger but the results are same like iphone 6 plus and htc m9, it is a real test
kiki, 03 Apr 2015Do you see the video on you tube SquareTrade bending s6 edge look the video ;)As I stated please do research into aluminum 6013, so you will know the truth. I did search the bent test is not carried out yet.

Gizmodo also did a false reports on bloatware and falsely claimed S6 is like iPhone 6. While negating iphone 6 being copy of htc m8 and samsung ativ s. So it's actually apple marketing at work.
