If they are far better, they may keep this way for future S since on a business matter, they would have done more sales, maybe more profit and achieved a better "social" status by "selling premium" and not only simple android flagship like before. Premium not only refering to materials but also to different public.
Perhaps removing the swappable battery, sd slot, and water-resist is a BRILLIANT idea from Samsung...
It may just help sales of the S5! Look at the Top 5 most hits here. S5 is still Top 5 nearly a year later.
We don't truly appreciate anything until its gone. Well, the S5 is starting to get appreciated more now since those features are still there even if it wasn't a pretty boy phone. By those features being GONE with the S6, the S5 is finally receiving its long overdue credit...
Another thing is that Z4 allows 128GB expansion, S6 is stuck on internal memory. There is a real world usage of being a water/dust proof. Having this feature gives u peace of mind, when it suddenly rains and u are texting, calling or taking photos. When you go swimming, trekking. Dust is everywhere and being a dustproof really helps. And according to study, as smartphone can get dirtier than a toilet so being a water proof u can easily wash it. And the probability that u will accidentally spill coffee, soft drinks etc, is not ZERO, these are just few things in terms of real world usage....
this phone is very dificult to disasembly ,evrything is with glue ,the skreen is nightmare to change !!!
the best phone up to now thanks for your hard effort Samsung on offering something premium not cheap plastic and the best cpu up to now
no memory card and very bad battery life time ......and also the same old design only use metal ......i never like this
junb2014, 21 Mar 2015Xperia Z4 will put this S6(an S4 lookalike) to shame in terms of battery life, water/dust resi... moreYou would be surprised with battery life of s6 when it's released. Exnos 7420 being 14 nm will save battery life. Ufs 2.0 will lower the strain on battery. Lets not mention the screen which will be more efficient than s5. I'm glad z4 will have ip rating. Ip68 while useful it only helps if you drop your phone in water and won't have any real world use. Also fast and wireless charging are included in s6.
junb2014, 21 Mar 2015Xperia Z4 will put this S6(an S4 lookalike) to shame in terms of battery life, water/dust resi... moreTo be able to do that, a Z4 announcement and a precise release date and a good marketing campaign are necessary.
First to the market (with a decent product) is getting the most sales, not the last.
If Z4 comes before summer, it will have to face G4 and LG is getting serious this year with their 10 millions G4 units sold expectation.
If Z4 is coming after summer, it will have to compete also against LG premium device and Note 5 (without even mentionning i6S).
LG G4 is going to be announced next month, so not much room left for Sony to create its "bang".
I agree with u. Most of my friend using iPhone always charging their phone. I hope samsung will change it to the next s7.
Xperia Z4 will put this S6(an S4 lookalike) to shame in terms of battery life, water/dust resistance-Sony is making it flapless microUSB port this time - Samsung is trying hard to copy iPhone in terms of thinness, disregarding the importance of battery life. iPhone users love to carry superheavy/bulky mobile chargers-this is backward innovation.
I'm looking forward to this upgrade, since my s3 is on the brink of destruction. Haven't changed batteries or needed to use a sd card since I bought it. So this wont be an issue, and also Ill have a new contract that lets me change to the next gen when that comes out.

[for professional color reproduction], what happened to your glorious ZU?
Rest of your post is just your personal ideas. But then again, why do you bring your 2 years old ZU in here ? It didn't sell as you expected, so the most viewed page of GSMA seems a good opportunity for some advertising ?

I'm not talking about cracking glasses because it's hard to say from comments if some people are clumsy or if it's a real problem.
m86k, 21 Mar 2015You should check their comments section too to know "what's the fuss" about them tooOk just checked them, they were mostly complaints about screen breakage and that's it that's why I said in my earlier comment if they had super amoled, gorilla glass 4 and a removable battery I would have bought it this year.
i personally will wait for samsung a7 in these now time still buying a fone that doesnt have memory card no no no i learned the hard way with my previous fone tha only had build in memory. i looks nice yes but for e its incomplete
does it looks like mixture of iphone 6 & xperia z3 with front of regular samsung s series..
cheap samsung. grow up. do something really new. dont copy other brands
mas39, 21 Mar 2015You really don't know what you are on about, typical Sammy fanboy, Amoled does not emit natura... morePlease don't pass off your ideas as facts, it makes you look very immature. Furthermore is there need for you to bash and troll a brand you don't like.
mas39, 21 Mar 2015You really don't know what you are on about, typical Sammy fanboy, Amoled does not emit natura... moreFirst point you're wrong about me being Samsung fan. I only say the truth. So if IPS is better which it isn't then why is did note 4 get the title of best display in any smartphone in 2014. Yes earlier amoled had in-accurate colors but with S5 and note 4 that was sorted out. Is that why the person making up facts about IPS got his comments got deleted. Also you could not be more wrong in fact amoled has the best viewing angles and highest contrast. Please do read this http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s6_and_note_4_tied_for_best_smartphone_display-news-11501.php
aod, 21 Mar 2015I did try candy crush saga, there were no issues you claim to be present. Lets face it you can... moreYou really don't know what you are on about, typical Sammy fanboy, Amoled does not emit natural colours, IPS is the best display if you want the most natural colours, hence why professionals only use monitors with Inverted Plain Switching(IPS). You can talk Samsung's displays up as much as you want, we understand how you feel wanting to back Samsung as much as possible, but please don't distort the facts, IPS have the best and most true colours, highest contrast and the best viewing angles. IPS Plus and Super IPS Plus are even better, but IPS on it's own is good enough hence why my Sony Z Ultra had an award in 2013 for the best display, and it still puts the S6 to shame.
