m86k, 09 Mar 2015So much quoting for that ? You don't understand what you read, do you?
Samsung was making j... moreFirst of all please don't compare Samsung with Sony the great. Samsung might have made huge profits by their advertising policies. However, Sony have never tried to deceive people by making tantalizing products. As far as my memory helps Sony has been called the God of Appliances and the God if Quality all around the world. As well as this Sony always have been a precursor not an emulator and there have been a lot of innovation by Sony such as the first commercial TV sets, HiFi, Blueray and etc.
Regarding your statement concerning financial fiasco, I think I would say that, Samsung phone section made a huge loss because of their flagships. Could you evaluate the LOSS please. This is not a matter of the numbers of sold phones. This is a matter of description for loss and for Samsung they did not reached their least profits that is needed for a company to be able to continue.
[deleted post]Ok, you say 14nm is a manufacturing process but doesn't affect performance, why do you think that with every new generation the size of the transistor decreases ?
That's because the die size is going to remain the same, which means the only way of increasing the performance is to pack more transistors, besides moving to small transistor size increases power efficiency.
Now about Octa-Cores, i know that everybody makes Octa-Cores but that doesn't mean that AMD's Octa-Core is as powerful as Intel's Octa-Core.
Now onto Exynox 7000 lineup, the Exynos 7420 is the first SOC of 7 series so i don't know how you are saying it has a poor performance history.
Iam sure samdung will out sd slot in s7 we will see after the faulure marketing of s6
2k resolution is really not necessary..it will bring down the phone performance and battery life..its not even noticeable..im glad that htc stick with FHD..s6 is totally out from my next phones list..
So now it seems like Apple is looking at making their phones water proof as per report on GSMArena...
Now this is what I am saying about Samsung adopting the wrong strategy for their flagships like the S6.
The S5 was IP certified has Removable battery & SD card ....
Samsung removes 3 of their most sailable features that differentiate them and make them better than apple just to produce a phone that looks like apple that too 4 years after apple has done that... what a shame
Last time Samsung shook up the team at their mobile division ... apparently not enough ... JK Shin who is responsible seems to be on the wrong strategic path ....
sales forecasts of 20 million are a factor of pent up demand that takes place due to delay in purchase hoping to get something better and when you don't you get stuck to buying what is on offer or exuberance after a new launch or push from the sami sales team.
Samsung may need to shake up the team some more till they get their strategy right
The must have are
IP 68 Certified
These what made or make Samsung / android great .... other wise the differentiation with apple will narrow and eventually Samsung will have no redeeming differences and will come out the looser.
Gojis, 09 Mar 2015It's funny people bashing the Galaxy S6 simply because it does not have an SD card slot and a ... moreYes,and this funny too! Now when samsung have the premimum look, all those trolls dont know what to say! Non removable battery, they say! But,z2,z3,htc m8,m9,lg etc, also have non removable battery!
How messed up is this? the Galaxy S6 with the IPhone design gets a 7.2 for its design while the IPhone 6 with the IPhone design gets a 5 for design
It is the site we should study about S6
It would be perfect if Samsung stay on :
2. Micro SD slot
3. removable battery
Overall S6 is amazing. design is improving a lot and look at now "good looking" flagship.
A little bit sad i don't like to see S6 trying to be Iphone.
Because im not gonna but any iphone cause of lack external memory, battery and waterproof thing.
S5 is very good smartphone.
i better wait for Sony Z4 or next Samsung S7 then.
I'm happy with my S5.
Whatever people say, the obvious reality is that Samsung could have easily added a memory card slot like in the A5 or A7, for less than 1$...And people could use it or not.
But of course Samsung wants to sell the extra internal memory for a big price...
Bad move, removing the only interest for many customers including me.
[deleted post]Ok so let me spell it out for you:
14nm 64-bit OctaCore processor
3GB LPDDR4 RAM
32/64/128 GB UFS 2.0 Memory
16 MP F1.9 Camera Sensor
2k AMOLED Screen
2.5k MAH Battery
Even Z3 is better than M4, how the hell are you comparing M4 to S6 ?
i bet if sammy give out s6 for free to all this haters, they will use it as their daily phones.
Most of you do not even know what you want lol...
It's funny people bashing the Galaxy S6 simply because it does not have an SD card slot and a removable battery. Clearly, you show your ignorance on the new developments with Samsung. Let me explain: first, the new galaxy was an overhaul design to at least match equivalent premium devices in terms of build.
second, the aluminium unibody on which the flagship will lie on cannot allow you to have a removable cover.
third, the omition of an SD card is due to performance issues which is understandable.
Can u understand that there is many people cant buy the 64GB or
128 Gb s6 ?? Can y understand this or not???. -Yes, i can!.Why no?.
[deleted post]So you are saying, just because a phone is Water proof it is better than S6 in all aspects ?
Please tell me in what World do you live in ?
what a fool step by the koreans super power! 5.1'' inch, 577 ppi, QHD screen but battery limited to 2600! The handset will become scrape after 6 or 8 months.
The issue for me is the battery and microSD card slot.
With cameras and videocameras becoming more advance and taking up more space for that high quality, they should have kept the card slot.
Right now I have the Galaxy 5 with a 128 GB card and even that's not enough for everything the phone can be used for (videos, movies, mp3s, pictures, games, ...)
As for the battery, I bought a 7700 mAh battery and yes it does last almost 3 times as long as the original from the company. It makes the phone thicker but that's something I've accepted for the reliability of not having to charge my phones for several days despite heavy usage.
I will not be getting the Galaxy 6 and holding out for the Galaxy 7, hopefully Samsung will have come to its senses by then.
