There should be a cost effective version without finger print scanner, dust/water proof, and other top premium features ... i personally don't feel these features are so much in trend or people will mind sacrificing.. i would like to pay more for higher mp camera than dust proof ...
I think they should've release:
Galaxy S6 in 32gb and 64gb with (removable battery),with (micro sd slot) and with IP67 waterproof
Galaxy S6 Edge in 128gb without (removable battery), without (micro sd slot) and with 3000 mAh battery.
After the long time Samsung has done job really well. I was supposed to buy iphone but this phone attracted me so irresistibly. Really mouth watering phone!
People may think this is a copy of the iPhone 6 because at a glance, it is. But when you know deeper, it's a much much better version than the iPhone 6, hence it is NOT a copy of the iPhone, since a copy means an imitation with the same or lesser quality than the original. Wouldn't anyone agree with me? I mean, first, the internal storage maybe unexpandable, but it starts with twice the capacity (32 GB version instead of 16 of the iPhone) and it's the kind that is almost three times faster than that of the iPhone 6.
And then there's the battery. Both maybe non user removable, but the S6 is guaranteed to last you much longer on a single charge because of the 14nm CPU and super amoled display and other tweaks, there's also universal wireless charging built in and the crazy fast charging to get you 4 hours in just 10 minutes of charging. Yet I haven't even mention the innovative Ultra Power Saving mode. Starting to get it? Then there's the display. It's Super Amoled Quad HD vs HD LCD. I know, right? Overkill. It's like killing a fly with a bazooka. But hold up. There's a reason for the overkill. Virtual reality. It's something that the iPhone can only dream of. Ok what else? Camera (s)? It's like no competition from the cameras specs alone. It's 16 & 5 MP of f/1.9 aperture with OIS, auto HDR and infra red for white balance. Need I say more? How about CPU/GPU, performance, build quality, sensors, etc? Hm.. Let's just say, it's really nothing like the iPhone. It's on another level. :)
Hahaha this is a joke!
samsung want to be exclusive, but they products is very dissapointing. I never buy this phone at this price.... like many other devices from samsung which is too much pricey
m86k, 05 Mar 2015Yes and No. Expandable memory means that you can add/keep more documents/media/others on a ... more"Can't afford" isn't the point. The point is to consider the cost/benefit ratio of the 128GB S6 versus (say) an M9 plus a 128GB MicroSD. It's not like you buy everything you can afford (else you'd buy tens of phones every year, from Apple, Samsung, HTC, Sony, Huawei, etc!). You buy the best option for you. And IMHO, any phone where I'm bound to the internal storage isn't a good option. I say that since the N95 8GB, passing through the iPhones, the M7, etc. Even if the 128GB version costed as much as a 16GB Xperia Z1, I'd go for the Xperia because emy data is more important to me.

Samsung had this design before the ibend 6..
check the samsung ATIV S page from 2012 and you'll find that you're just an ignorant.
This next to my Galaxy S5 LTE-A its heaven!! FYI! the naysayers, harden-haters and the rest of their group, I quote "will be the ones to buy to purchase this beast at the end of the day after all". Hate all you want to hate it doesn't matter b'cos sammy will still be making a lot of profit that can feed your entire life generations :D. As for me? Sammy pls take my money as long as you keep delivering an astounding quality and performance or should i say "Shut up and take my money!" :D. Way to go sammy and i fully understands why you ditch the external sd card which some seems to not fully comprehend and the rest absent features? Meh..
no more sd-card slot, no more replacement battery, unibody, it is an iphone now!

I personaly have nano sim cutter and adapters. And 3 of my phones are using nano format.

Expandable memory means that you can add/keep more documents/media/others on a phone/Tablet, not necessarily that you can install more stuff, especially when you go below 1gb free on internal memory even if you have 90gb free on your 128gb external.
This is a debate i already had here for S3 years ago as soon as i bought it and saw those not even 9gb free and people kept replying as ignorant as they, just add a microsd (which i had already of course).
You are going in every direction at once. If people are under contracts with an S6, so money is no big deal for them, they won't have to shuffle 900$ from their pockets, more like 300/400$ so they can go for 64/128gb versions.
I'm without any contract and i'm aiming at 64/128 version.
But stop with this useless debate, Samsung is releasing the phone as it is, i don't see the point of trying to argue with something which will be staying as a flagship for a whole new year. Better take a seat at S7 page (when it appears) and start wishing here.
You want more storage options? Well, get another phone if you can't afford a 64/128gb S6, simple right ?
But at the very first, were you even intending to buy a S6 and which phone do you have currently ?
Nikolain, 05 Mar 2015Really ?Yes.
I would give the S6 the win for the processor though, as Samsung Exnos processors are usually paired with Wolfson DACS (the sound chip) and Audiophiles prefer them.
To be fair I have the Snapdragon version of the Note Edge which has the DAC built into the Snapdragon system chip and it sounds phenominal.
To be fair I bluetooth the sound half the time which bypasses the onboard DAC anyhow, so, moot!!
S-Pen is awesome, removable battery means nil to me, and if Samsungs pricing structure for the bigger capacity storage phones is fair, then it is better to have less power drain than run multiple chips. (we need really fast/high quality storage as 4K recording is intense)
I guess we could argue, that now the S6 isn't water protected, a 'drowned phones' memory is lost.. whereas if I drown my Note Edge I can remove the memory chip with all my photos etc...
I do think that the S6 with a power sipping Mali processor could tie with the Notes for endurance of power.. if the antenna setup was as good.. which SAR testing indicates is not likely...
I guess we can just wait and see; but I reckon with confidence anyone is safe to buy into any of these phones... they are all exceptional!

m86k, 05 Mar 2015True for the sims. But blame Apple for that. They forced carriers to make nano as standard and... moreNano sims aren't really a problem because you just use an adapter and you can use it in any micro or full sim device.
So it would be better if more devices used them since then it works in everything.
Orwell, 05 Mar 2015Nano sim is irritating. Micro sim is surely small enough. I don't want more than full HD re... moreIt is very possible to see a difference provided your eyes work as they normally should, go look at one and see. The text is sharper, images are more crisp, etc. It's just not a huge difference. And the screen's an AMOLED, they lose 0 battery life to QHD. That's only an issue with IPS screens as they have to use a backlight to illuminate the screen that loses brightness when the pixels are closer together (higher PPI). Think of it like a light shining through a screen. The tighter the weave on the screen, the less light that makes it through. AMOLEDs don't have a backlight at all, the pixels provide the illumination themselves, and are actually much MORE power efficient than an IPS screen. Do some research before spreading disinformation please!
m86k, 05 Mar 2015That's a bad example Michael :)
This is the reason why i stopped gaming on my galaxy phones... moreThe point still stands that at one time 32mb was enough for a phone but as time goes by new features means more memory is needed, and expandable memory means however you want to use the phone you can by just adding more memory.
Because the fact is that contacts mean that most people will have this for at least 2 years and what seems like enough memory now can quickly change, especially since Samsung wants to add as many features as possible to get people using their phone more.
