Arogsm, 19 Jan 2016OK... please help me... My uncle's S6 lags a lot and battery life is bad... What can I do?That is just hate speech my friend. I am pretty sure but as a solution you can clear some space and remove unwanted apps use a dark theme or the default. Could you tell me the model number and the country of the device please
Sub.Zero, 19 Jan 2016Then you put the A9 in your bag like a girl because it's huge! I prefer using my iPad Air 2 if... moreI'm sorry to have hurt your feelings. But then the truth hurts... and the truth is that the S6 may have killer specs but it has MEDIOCRE to BAD battery life. I understand you do not want to ADMIT that your gaming and online experience is 'suffering' because of the small, limited capacity 2550mAh battery Samsung has put on the S6. You are using every trick on the book (4G/LTE data OFF most of the time; custom rom, low brightness, etc.) just so you can eke out more battery life. You disagree and say you are not feeling 'limited' by the S6's battery life in any way and that you TRULY enjoy 15% screen brightness when playing games. I have no problem with that... to each is own.
The reason why I originally made the post below is to help others (apparently, not all) in their purchasing decisions especially since the smartphone is increasingly being used to watch online videos, listen to music, play games, breaking news and social media updates, etc. (in addition to calls and text) which means a big 1080p screen, a powerful 4000 mAh battery, a very good processor/GPU combo (SD 652, Adreno 510), and all the SD card space (128GB) when you need it, at HALF the price of flagship phones spells the difference between wall hugging, squinting, and buyer's remorse, to truly living and enjoying all that a smartphone has to offer in the smartphone era.
---------- Original Post --------
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is a vastly better device than this one.
1. Display - 1440x2560 (2.5k) is overkill unless you are into the dizzying VR hobby. 1080p is enough for this display. And no, you won't see better resolution with this display compared to a 1080p display. It only wastes battery and lowers device performance.
2. 4000mAh should be the minimum battery standard nowadays. What's the point of a gorgeous display that is dead by lunch time if you use it fairly frequently to watch videos
or play games or stream music?
3. Dual sim should be the standard nowadays. One SIM for cheaper data package and another SIM for cheaper phone calls and text package --- or one sim for home and another for work or for local and international travel to save on roaming data. There are plenty other uses for two SIMs and the latest Android versions support them, so why limit one's flexibility?
4. Why no SD card support? SD card support is very useful for people who love to have the entire music collection, HD movie collection and photo collection in their PC's, available anytime, anywhere in their phones even without data connection. They can mirror or screencast (wifi-direct) the movies and photos to any TV anywhere they go, no internet connection needed! Besides, smartphones nowadays offer ever increasing camera resolutions (16 MP+) and ever increasing video resolutions (4K) which will devour a standard 32 GB internal storage in no time.
Arogsm, 19 Jan 2016OK... please help me... My uncle's S6 lags a lot and battery life is bad... What can I do?Put a dark theme instead of a light one first. I suggest Black Marble. Download/Buy Package Disabler Pro and disable the bloatware. Put apps to always optimize in battery settings.
He should get at least 30 minutes more sot.

Arogsm, 18 Jan 2016S6 and every phone heats too...Yes my dear but when you put a samsung galaxy s6 and a Sony xperia z5 into a processor performance test you can see how the device starts to heat and close down background applications. And my friend surprisingly the exynos processor heats less than every other device because it is manufactured in a 14nm process. Snapdragon is like bigger I cannot remember the actual size. Smaller it is faster and cooler it works
Don, 19 Jan 201615% screen brightness? OMG! do you have to do that just so you can play games that don't kill ... moreThen you put the A9 in your bag like a girl because it's huge! I prefer using my iPad Air 2 if I want a big screen. And 15% brightness is more than enough indoors for the S6! It's you who is dumb enough to put more than 50% indoors and cram your eyes XD
And I'm not even gonna tell you my SOT on Xtreolite as you won't be able to handle the jealousy! Xtreolite reveals the true potential of the S6.
You're so dumb that it's probably you who got 1-2 hrs sot and your phone dead by lunch. This fact shows your minute knowledge of using an Android smartphone!! XD
And you're not even a registered gsmarena user!
uvish, 18 Jan 2016well said sub.zero...I have these type of people around me...sony,apple,moto and whatnot....I ... moreI and other people don't hate Samsung but it lags very much and heats and battery life is short.

Sub.Zero, 18 Jan 2016Nonsense from a typical hater! You sound like you're the one(talk about the immature alias Don... more15% screen brightness? OMG! do you have to do that just so you can play games that don't kill your battery by lunch time? Go buy a Samsung Galaxy A9 for half the price of your S6 and truly 'live' in the smartphone era with 4000 mAh battery and a huge 6" screen without having to worry about battery life. Checkmate! :)
well said sub.zero...I have these type of people around me...sony,apple,moto and whatnot....I dont know why they hate samsung..give them the s6 tell them to discover each of its features then they will know how samsung wotk hard to provide these type of phones and what they were missing in those stock phones
Arogsm, 18 Jan 2016But Samsung battery life is worse...Yes my dear but heating processors consumes more battery. In that case exynos wins in battery power management and do you really think that the z5 has greater performance in heating conditions. Well I guess not. Thanks again my friend
Therockiscooking, 18 Jan 2016My dear how could Sony win against samsung? Have you even seen the Sony z5?But Samsung battery life is worse...
Therockiscooking, 18 Jan 2016My dear how could Sony win against samsung? Have you even seen the Sony z5?He/She said it first... Lol...
Samsung galaxy s6 includes the fastest processor in the mobile industry. Exynos 7420 is a beast compared to the snapdragon 810 processor. Snapdragon 810 said it has resolved the heating issues but unto my experience and the answers and feedback of other people exynos is far more greater faster and smoother than any other device in the market today. For anymore details or suggestion about this please do not hesitate on replying my dear colleagues
My dear how could Sony win against samsung? Have you even seen the Sony z5?
Don, 18 Jan 2016No custom ROM or app will improve the S6's battery life, ever! 2550mAh is 2550 mAh! With a pow... moreNonsense from a typical hater! You sound like you're the one(talk about the immature alias Don!) using a feature phone and I'm sure it's you who only use sms and calling on your boring phone! Exynos blows any phone since it's adequately battery efficient and the Mali gpu is perfectly optimized with no lag EVER experienced in any game! Couple that to Samsung's Game Tuner app tuned to 720p@60fps and you're ready for a straight 5.5 hours session playing The Room 3(all endings) on Xtreolite ROM on 15% brightness! Since Game Tuner is exclusive to Samsung flagships, other phones play at native resolution and will be dead a long time.
And FYI, I'm a level 40 player based on Google Play Games and more on PS achievements! You have no idea about what you're talking!
Speaking about battery capacity, the S6 has an average battery capacity, but performs great similar to iPhones and their small batteries although a bigger capacity would have been awesome and the S6 Active is here to prove the wonders a bigger battery in an S6 would do!
