Hi guys, just got my update for my s6 edge from Malaysia. From a few hours of using it, i have some observations. Firstly, I'm not sure if it was intentional to make it feel rigid. Like more machine. Like it's still smooth but it's not fluid anymore. I'm not sure how to explain this or it's just my unit.
Secondly, overall it's still pretty nice just that there are stock android UI changes incorporated that you would need to get used to like the new notification and quick toggles look. The new features like blue light filter is finally here and also the ability to reply straight out of the notification bar. The font size of the clock time at the top right has also changed to become smaller.
No info on battery life yet as i need some time to test it out. Hope this gives you guys an idea of what you're getting into when you update. Let me know if there's anything you would like me to try out.
I got the nougat update on 12th of April for my Samsung S6 Edge (SM-G925F). After 12 hours of using the phone it got deadlocked. Still I couldn't find the issue. Please don't update your device.
Lost all faith in Samsung now, still no Nougat update...Android 7.0 was officially released on August 22, 2016.
Android O will be out by the time S6 Edge get's 7.0.....
Bought in October 2015 as a birthday gift.Fantastic performance,but i think its too sharp,as sensation of your hands being cut feels if you dont have a case on it

WoW, having upgraded to this sheer quality feels good in the hand cooll n sleek communications device, im well chuffed, and i have to say, well I dont HAVE to say but I will say, oh ive forgot what I was going to say! Dont you just hate it when that happens?eh?
Yeah, excellent phone, great features, fab camera and looks and feels the part. but battery is a bit of a let down. Playing games is certainly gonna zap them juices from this phone!!
You can pick this phone up at a reasonable price nowadays and the phone still packs a punch when compared to some of the top mid priced priced newer phones around.The screen is still to die for, up there with the best.
Certainly recommend buying, BUT I will point to 'that' battery, please take that into consideration and dont complain later n say "nice phone,really love it and all that, but THAT battery" ok?

If someone pay almost $1000 USD for a premium device, he would expect a good lasting product and premium service.
BAD Samsung product:
I spent $975 on Samsung S6 edge phone and it died 22 months later. I was using the camera with 80% battery and it went dead after that. I did not drop the phone, I did not do any damage to it whatsoever. I have an iphone s5 lasted about 4 years and still working. Sony TV, playstation, xbox , computers, ipads and so on lasted many years.
BAD Samsung Service:
I went through troubleshooting with Samsung and they decided that it cannot be fixed. I will have to pay for repair it myself. Warranty is only 1 year. They will not help with paying for repair. They will not even going to send me a mailer or box so I can mail the phone in to their repair service center. It shows how CHEAP Samsung is when they charge me for the premium.
NO service center (unlike Apple):
Option 1: They want to send me to Best Buy and I have to pay for the service myself, they do not have a service center.
Options 2: I will have to mail the phone in. It will take 11 business days. Who on earth will go without a phone for 11 business days or more than 2 weeks if you include weekends? Also, I read online that many complained about Samsung and claimed they don't receive the phone or the phone screen is broken during transit.
Best phone ever, looks and cameras and everything is fantastic.
But be prepared to charge your phone 2 times a day...but ok wiith fast charging.
