Anyone experience eye fatigue or irritability from staring at AMOLED display in general? I had to sell my S7 (non edge) recently because it was quite unpleasant to view the screen for more than 5 minutes at least in my experience. Any others are sensitive to AMOLED? or am I the only person?
(I had to buy a device with IPS (no problems for my eyes) display; bought Huawei P9 and very satisified with screen and performance.
Today 6/23/2016 2:45PM +8 GMT, we will be going back to Samsung service center for the SECOND time due to phone malfunction after it was submerged under water (not even deeper than 1 foot) (and not even longer than 2minutes) ... first time, the charging port was broken... we let it pass and have it repaired under warranty.. the second time around, the water came in to the system, shutting it down and you can see the moist on the front camera... so we demanded a REPLACEMENT from SAMSUNG PHILIPPINES. But they don't want to replace, since they claim it is repairable. So here is the BIG QUESTION, why is it advertised that the S7 is IP68 then this happened to us, not once but TWICE... Samsung wont even replace our UNIT which makes me furious. The unit is with us for about 3 months only. As I understand, this is their flagship mobile phone, but why did they let this happen to us? It is kind of funny because I was demonstrating the "power of s7" to my friends by dipping it to the water... then suddenly these things happened (instant humiliation, thanks to Samsung). I will have the repair receipts later with all their diagnostics...if you want a copy just let me know. I am just a concerned "EARTHLING" sending this to all people who are planning to get the "TOP OF THE LINE" Samsung S7.
Videoer, 20 Jun 2016Also have s5 and thinking of upgrading to s7, how does video camera compare? Is s7 much better?Video and camera are superb, especially selfies. But the battery of S5 is slightly better. S7 Fingerprint doesn't work if you're using third-party screen lock app. Third-party notification apps are not compatible with S7.

What do you mean with customizable? the ui? put a fricking Nova Launcher and you are good to go
Unimpressed so far, Which? suggested it was practically flawless...
I've been having HTC's for more than 6 years and I must say I was reluctant to move to Samsung, everyone said it was amazing. It is not amazing.
Not as customisable as HTC, can't get same themes, and move widgets around where you want. Power button on the side knocks it on and off when in my bag.
Main issue I have is with the SMS - there is a limit and turns it into MMS?! No choice! Never known this and it is a HUGE negative - MMS costs extra each time, no wonder the network happy to give you unlimited SMS.
I've had it for 2 days so far and I'm desperately wishing for my HTC back :-(
AnonD-551269, 21 Jun 2016My husband and I both own them & neither of us are impressed. Within the first week of him... moreShatterproof? I have never seen Samsung advertising the S7 as shatterproof. And it certainly is not shatterproof as it has the same Gorilla Glass 4 as most other devices. It is scratch-resistant at the most. Phones like the Droid Turbo 2 and the S7 Active, however, are advertised as shatterproof because they have plastic (plastic coated on Glass on the S7 Active) screens which prevents shattering.
Random restart might have something to do with the software or maybe even the hardware. I haven't heard a lot of people complaining about something like this so you might be having a defective unit.
The device is IP68 "water-resistant" and not "waterproof" and that too only upto 1.5 metres of depth for half an hour, though this should be more than enough for minor submersion in a pool or something of that sort.
Anonymous, 21 Jun 2016Good i use a samsung phone but i want difference in the design all are the sameMost of the people hate samsung because it doesnot has even a minor change in any product's design.

My husband and I both own them & neither of us are impressed. Within the first week of him having his it fell out of his pocket. We all know one of the biggest selling points was how it was "shatterproof", but when his phone fell out of his pocket (he's only 5'10" tall) it shattered as soon as it hit the ground.... Another issue is with my phone. It restarts randomly for absolutely no reason. Super inconvenient when it's the only alarm I have set for work in the mornings & it doesn't go off. Sometimes the screen just won't come on for 30sec-1min, even when I'm trying to hang up from a call. Customer service hasn't been much help either. I've reset/restored my phone several times & nothing has worked. They even asked me if I had dropped it in water, which I haven't, but aren't these things supposed to be water proof?? They just aren't as great as everyone is making them out to be. 1) definitely not shatterproof, just from a standard 4ft fumble getting it out of a pocket. 2) it doesn't sound like its very water proof if they're thinking water damage is the issue. 3) since water is definitely not an issue, there seems to be some kinks that need to be worked out.
