my pool it's 2.3m deep.
Hello Oz, when it says it can withstand 1.5 meters deep up to thirty minutes it doesnt mean that if you put it 1.6 meters under water its going to brake it just means that they have tested it and it can successfully still work for thirty minutes at 1.5 meters under water so if you drop your phone and it goes to the bottom of your pool it should be fine but if you forget about it and leave it there for like 15 minutes id say it could be damaged :/ hope i was some help :)

AnonD-510799, 04 Mar 2016Any information on the benchmark scores of Exynos 8890 ?From all what I've read & videos I've seen in the last week:
- Galaxy S7 Exynos : antutu score 129k~ // Geekbench: 2.1k SC & 6.4k MC
- Galaxy S7 edge Exynos: antutu 127k~ // Geenbench 2.1k SC & 6.5k MC
With S7 SD, scores are lower for MultiCore tests by far.
Barney, 03 Mar 2016So what happens in a year or so of constant use when the battery starts to deteriorate. Manufa... more12MP IS BRILLIANT , the important factor is the lens of the camera even though the previous s6 had 16mp the lens was 1.9f this is 1.7 which makes the camera even better .
waterproof up to 1.5m so its a brilliant device well done samsung let see if the iphone 7 has to offer. but for now 1-0 to samsung..!!!
I just red that the battery is not interchangeable with a fresh battery. As a police officer I don't have the luxury of down time to charge a battery. I'll keep using my old phone until I find a phone with an interchangeable battery.
What's upgraded compared to the S6:
- microSD slot.
- 3000 mAh > 2550 mAh battery
- QuickCharge 3.0 > QC 2.0
- Always-on display screen (for time, calendar or specific animation)
- I don't like SD so I won't comment it. But the Exynos 8890 Octa >>>> Exynos 7420 octa:
there are always the 4 x A53 cores clocked at 1.6ghZ but instead of 4 x A57, there are 4 x M1 (custom Samsung cores) clocked at 2.3gHz (if 2 x M1 cores are used, they're clocked at 2.6 ghZ, if 3-4 are used then 4 x M1 are clocked at 2.3 ghZ)
- Mali-T880 MP12 >> Mali-T760 MP8
- Camera has lowered from 16 MP to 12MP to make pixxels bigger & give fast performance for camera auto-focus & shots.
- Water & dust resistant (IP 67)
