If anyone is viewing their pictures on a HD tv (1920x1080) then the MAXIMUM they are seeing is a 2 megapixel image. It does not matter what MP camera you use 5,8,10,12,23 or 41 you will only see a 2megapixel resolution image.
High res cameras are good for zooming in on but a 6 mp image printed out at 6x4 inches is pretty good.Unless you are printing poster size images most folk looking at pictures on their laptop are not seeing these high res images because it is impossible physics.
I would rather have a good quality image with excellent low light quality than a 100 mp camera.
AnonD-505447, 21 Feb 2016nothing new. no radio, single speaker, backward to usb 2. S5 user here still happy with it :)To FARDZ:
I'm a happy S5 user as well. S5 has everything that the other S series doesn't have including S6 and S7.
It's one way of camera megapixels more light, blur zoom, bet you S8 wud be 24 MP. Where is then technology but sale gimmick. So go and buy it, next year I will buy S8. This is a viscous circle of keep customers on hind legs.
lg has been smoked on this one... galaxy s7 best android phone for 2016.. i am so damping my s6 edge+...but can someone please explain what the dual core+dual core is coz...but im so getting the s7 edge
This 12 MP is better than 30mp and it doesn't matter about the megapixels if you say that a phone has 5mp and its bad then you have insufficient education
Bhaskar, 22 Feb 2016also the phone is waterproof On Samsung site, it says it is resistant to water. Not waterproof.
Still the same as the old note 5!!
NO CHANGE except camera and NOKIA's glance screen!!
Only fans will buy it!! :D
S4 had it. It was new feature and I used it rarely.
S5 had it and I used it more often.
S6 has it and I use it every day.
After S4, S5, S6 I am used to using infrared interface and now Samsung removes it!?Seriously?
If S8 will not have infrared interface then I must look for HTC's, LG's, Sony, Lenovo etc flagships.
Anonymous, 22 Feb 2016more than 99% people never uses the IR blaster lolI use it from time to time.
AXC, 22 Feb 2016Why, why, whyyyyyyyy did the remove the IR port? I have all the remote controls in my house on... moreTo AXC:
You win some you lose some. Hush. They brought back features that many persons complained about but took away another great fearure in the process, the IR remote control.
I have a S5 and it's working quite fine plus I do find the IR remote to be handy so I too am sticking to my S5 and if it should stop working...who knows maybe I will get another S5.
S7, 22 Feb 2016How can you say that this downgrade is actually better? Please do explain, because I'm serious... morethe total number of pixels is less, but the size of each pixel is more.
This will result better image due to the entry of more light but the zoom quality may decrease
What about 3d touch ; force touch display will be included in this machine are not friends
