Every update as the phone ages adds bugs and degrades defining features of a phone. I have no doubt Oreo will further make the camera quality worse. I have an Indian unit and camera is my top priority over anything else, so can anyone here tell how to flash official Marshmallow stock ROM on the S7 in order to retain the best camera quality this phone offered when launched?

It's probably my last Samsung flagship phone too because I don't like the reflections on curved sides. It's also not so practical for me because I watch lots of videos on my phone.
Hey Guys , i bought S7 from flipkart , the only thing i hating is the Camera , the Dual pixel pdaf doesnt works in 1080 60fps for which i bought the phone.
I contacted Samsung Customer Service and they don't have any answer or solution , this problem is from 2016 to now . If anyone know the solution than kindly reply.

AnonD-727389, 22 Feb 2018nope couldnt find any way to restore it. may be oreo will make it better.Oreo will further degrade the camera quality. The next way to restore the camera quality is to flash (install) the first builds of the Android Marshmallow with which the S7 launched. The only is, Marshmallow isn't as good to use as Nougat.

AnonD-727389, 22 Feb 2018my camera quality also degraded after nougat. This is Nougat 7.0 software bug I guess. How will we return the camera quality back like it was in Marshmallow. Any idea, have you tried any solution to bring back the camera quality.
My experience with the phone is pretty fine in terms of performance in Android nougat 7.0.
However the camera 📸 quality in nougat is worst in every situation. Daylight shot is over exposed and video shooting is also a bit shaky.
Anyone out there who face this issue and fix it kindly let me know. I love this phone 📱 but currently just the camera quality is just poor hoping to find solutions to fix this issue.
The Galaxy S7 is the last flat screen flagship phone from Samsung. I know there won't be any flat flagship S series Samsung phones ever again.

The-Artist, 16 Feb 2018Got a new update of 34.01 MB in India for the Galaxy S7. Anyone knows what changes it brings if any?Im getting screen on time of 6hrs..before the upgrade it was 4-5hrs
I've OCD. Checking the camera samples in GSMArena hands on article of the Samsung Galaxy S7 & S7 Edge at MWC 2016 and comparing the camera samples of the S7 now, there seems to be significant degradation in camera quality which could be due to Samsung intentionally pushing out destructive OTA update under planned obsolescence policy to highlight their current and upcoming generations of flagship phones.. It could be a differentiating factor considering the S7 & S8 have similar camera quality, although slightly better on the S8 because it's the current flagship, soon to be succeeded by the upcoming S9. This is what I noticed after a lot of camera sample analysis. Tried Google Pixel HDR+ Mod for the S7 and it didn't offer any significant improvement over the stock camera app except a little better exposure on a sunny day in HDR+ mode on the rear camera. After several months of usage, the battery backup doesn't seem as good as it was when new. Maybe it could be due to continued fast cable charging or could also be due to planned obsolescence.. Pretty happy with frequent Security updates but Samsung is slow upgrading their phones which is understandable due to feature rich Samsung Experience UI on top of Android and vast product portfolio but come on, this is a flagship phone. We S7 users are still stuck on Samsung Grace UX when budget & midrange Samsung phones like J7 2016 & On8 etc got update for Samsung Experience UI. Even the S8 Oreo update was suspended.. Android 8.0 Oreo is messed up and buggy, Essential skipped 8.0 Oreo update for 8.1 Oreo.. Hope Samsung will also skip Android Oreo 8.0 update to directly provide Android 8.1 Oreo update to the S7 pretty soon. Until then, it's a long cycle of waiting.. Not a loyalist of any brand. I vote with my wallet. The S7 is most probably the last Samsung flagship phone I'd ever own.
AnonD-736291, 09 Feb 2018There is a big price drop on Flipkart for the S7. Dont know if I should buy it or not.
