Axe, 16 Jun 2017Is it worth buying in 2017? Yup it is....I bought it last month, used with warranty in 400 usd, it's best in this price range, you mostly get mid range smartphones like A5 2017, Motorola, lg phones. You may find there specs are good on paper, great battery life etc. In s7 you'll not get best battery life, but overall you'll get best experience and here are some reasons.
1. Best Display quality.
2. Best Camera.
3. Excellent reception.
4. Excellent Design. (If you use rouughly then you need to buy a rugged case).
5. Excellent Software update experience (If you have international model)
6. Good battery life. (It's not the best, but it can give you 1 day battery time. or 5 to 6 hours sot.
7. Excellent performance. in gaming or in heavy tasks.
8. Better resale value than other brands ( Xiaomi, Lg, Sony, One plus, HTC, and other).
9. Very nice software.

What happen with Always On Display for International/Global version both of this devices (S7 & S7 edge) *and other new samsung phone with alwaysOn for global version.
*the Clock is actually Not Moving!, Samsung has said to prevent for being burn cause of OLED display technology produce light from every pixel, it will damaged if not moving just like you prove to us on presentation, so Samsung Do a change position of clock on Always On Display every minutes.
- That's happen on US version, but it Doesn't happen on International/Global version. Now, I'm worried to using Always On Display feature. please Fix this as possible Samsung. maybe anyone Agree too with the same version, and the same Problem.

mischa, 18 Jun 2017The S7 is a 2017 flagship grade smartphone. Camera is virtually the same as the S8. Same batte... moreAnd not too far from the specs and performance as well. They're just significant change the Design of course, 8 years of samsung S series generation must have a different new design. so S8 will be the first to look a new design, if Samsung still keeps all parts from previous Galaxy (S7) for their Galaxy S8, means the Great of parts it is. so S7 I think still best choice, and High end performance, No Doubt about it

Axe, 16 Jun 2017Is it worth buying in 2017? The S7 is a 2017 flagship grade smartphone. Camera is virtually the same as the S8. Same battery capacity and same RAM as the S8. Same WQHD resolution as most other flagship smartphones. Same UFS storage.

Axe, 16 Jun 2017Is it worth buying in 2017? The S7 is basically an S8 minus the iris scanner and the stretched screen. The S8 is just a very small improvement over it. It's very much worth it to buy in 2017 especially if you can get it for a bargain price.

this is what I like about customize cpu from Samsung. (this CPU is only added on Exynos 8, and 9 for now). Mongoose/M1 (S7), M2 (S8) is the most blast high power produce for BIG core, this Mongoose1 can reach a maximum clockspeed rate with no disadvantage issue, the information for S7 was right 4x 2.30GHz but because this support Mongoose CPU, S7 can go up again into 2.60GHz Quad core. this custom cpu is only available on architecture Exynos 8 and above. so this rate Samsung will not using cpu core like Kyro or Cortex again (except Qualcomm Snapdragon) as their BIG core, Little core still need support Cortex A53, and suitable for their GPU , ARM-Mali. Best combine performance, Good to look and High comfortable as well.

I think both phone are the same! (Galaxy S7 and S7 edge), same performance, statistic, and other specs. but for the Edge version, you will get Dual Curve screen + their Edge Feature, more Bigger Inches, and also Higher Battery capacity.
and there is no disappointed to buy there both phone variant, but if you want to Save Budget, go ahead with this phone, It's a Wise choice for me, Good phone from all based.
