All doesn't lag, yes not snappy as nowadays flagship smartphones but they don't lag, and they can run gta without graphics glitches unlike the s7, s8 and even the note 8 check the YouTube, you don't think that i own one of these companies do you? But it is just about viewing important points nothing else, this is one of the biggest roles of these threads, however when someone buy a smartphone he will pay from his own pocket.
If the smartphone cannot hold the so called more features in moderate period usage then why to add it.

First of all, as the phone gets old, its obvious to face issues like low battery life lagginess etc... The reason being, most of the time, the old hardware is not fully compatible with the software... That results in issues like lagginess etc... Also the storage has threads, each time you write something on it, the threads get filled up, but when you delete it, it doesn't wipe up completely ( this is the reason why you can actually recover files even after they are deleted), the software just overwrites on the threads, and after several overwrites the threads start responding slowly, that's the reason why phones start lagging over time... And this happens with almost every phone... Its just that samsung's UI has a lot of features that makes it heavy, so it eats up the storage a lot fast...

Im using S7 from past 5 month and boy, its really a performance beast . I never feel any lag while using. This is mt first flagship device and I have a good experience with it. Many people don't recommended me this device when i was planning to buy it . They all said samsung is laggy and blah blah blah. But im happy I don't get anything to complain. Camera screen audio all are good. Build quality is good too. Its feel very premium to hold as well.
AnonD-666414, 31 Oct 2017Doesn't lag for now. Watch in futureYou are right, software issues appears at the second software version and it becomes deadly at the last one in Samsung smartphones, take the Galaxy s6 as an example, at Marshmallow there were plenty of complaints about the software issues, now at Nougat s6 is totally outdated, its been an issue in Samsung smartphones from centuries and this is a major reason why Samsung come always late with software updates, but actually you can dodge it, stop the automatic software updates in your smartphone, and example for the s7 try to not upgrade the software to the last version in the future which is Android Oreo.
Great phone one of the best i have used which i have useful many like oneplus 5 and p10 camera and performance 10/10 .

AnonD-666414, 30 Oct 2017I am using S8. That's why i am talking about this. Experiance 8.1 UI uses more ram. 4GB RAM is... moreI don't have the S8 so I can't say for sure. I got a Samsung Galaxy On8 (3GB of RAM) which is also running the Samsung Experience UI 8.1 on top of Android 7.0 Nougat. It does consume more RAM, I get around 1 GB free without any third party apps running in the background. But it doesn't lag at all on User Interface. The UI transition animations are slow however to give user the perception of smoothness throughout the UI. UI transition animations are slow on all Samsung phones by default so you maybe perceiving slow UI transition animations as lag. More free RAM isn't necessarily better, what matters is better RAM management which keeps apps in RAM so they don't restart. You can disable those system applications which you aren't gonna use like Flipboard app and Microsoft suite of applications. You can also make the UI transition animations fast. Turn on developer mode by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Info > Keep tapping on Build Number until you see developer mode is enabled. Now in Settings > Developer Mode > Set window animation scale, transition animation scale and animator duration scale all to 0.5x. There you go.
Anonymous, 29 Oct 2017Tempered glass just don't fit well on curved screen of s7. Those which fits looks plain ugly a... moreThose plastic screen guards scratches easily and provides no drop protection, that's the only major downside. I tried many tempered glasses but couldn't tolerate the halo effect on all the edges due to 2.5D curved glass, plus full screen tempered glasses are not compatible with most snug fit cases. Tried the Spigen Curved Crystal but the edges lifted up, due to the snug fit Spigen Case.. So finally settled with Spigen Crystal (not the curved one), it is case friendly and works well with most snug fit cases including the Spigen Ultra Hybrid case which I'm using right now. Have recently ordered a Ringke Fusion case, similar to Spigen Ultra Hybrid cases, for my S7 because the Spigen one got scratched quite easily..
this phone is still being recommended it does all you want and has top audio/cam/video/screen and got mine for £249 in cash generater it is spotless.
It can still give the latest flagship phones a run for their money, superb phone with amazing camera.
AnonD-27765, 30 Oct 2017This is a board for the S7, not the S7 edge. Don't mention that here. Thanks.thanks. but development for s7 or s7edge is almost same. going through internet will help alot.
Sorry for the post. I will take care next time

Experiance 8.1 UI uses more ram. 4GB RAM isnt enough to that. Free space of ram of S8 4GB ram version is about 1.3GB without running any 3rd party app ... my S6 also got 1.2GB free space of ram after it's 2nd update (nougate) .. it is laggy now.cant use lot of apps. This new experiamce UI isn't suitable to 4GB ram versions. Sometimes i have lagging problen in S8 when i slide up menu.. do you understand now?

But I have a Pixel launcher setup on my S7 using Nova Launcher with Pixel icons, Pixel 2 dock with the Google search bar at bottom of the dock below the dock icons, a Pixel 2 live wallpaper, a Pixel theme downloaded from the Samsung Themes store, a Pixel app drawer and "Another Widget" which simulates the new Pixel 2 Calendar/Weather widget. My S7 looks exactly like a Pixel 2, even more beautiful than the Pixel 2 because I've customized and adjusted all aspects of the UI for a more clean and coherent look.
