Has anybody else had connection issues with the s7 edge? My s4 had no problems connecting to any wifi router and no problem loading apps, pages etc. My s7E on the other hand has been a nightmare since day one, on FB especially, im still seeing posts from two days ago and I need to switch to my data just to refresh the page.
I'm not sure if I've been sent a faulty phone or if this is a common problem. Has anyone any ideas or could help please. Ps i love this phone I just need to get this sorted

I've been doing some research, and it seems a number of Galaxy devices have had issues like the one you've mentioned, and I've specifically had my eye on the Edge variant. Looking at these issues, I think I'll be going for the iPhone,as these phones are extremely expensive in where I'm from (more than $1000 when converted), so I guess it'll be an iPhone for me :(

I'm gonna buy either an S7 edge or an iPhone 6s plus (or the ... moreit depends, samsung has "battery saver" and "ultra battery saver", the ultra was EPIC on previous phones (the S5 did 12 days between charges, with 3 calls & a dozen sms a day avg.) but not so much on the S7 models, because 1: faster processor, 2: massive screen resolution. i don't use the regular saving mode, but on the ultra save i get between 4 and 6 days between charges on the S7 edge. in case you don't know about it, in ultra saver all apps and services are terminated, you get to pick 6 apps from a short list of WELL BEHAVED apps (which normally means: calls/contacts, sms, the integrated version of the web browser, calculator, watch/timer, quicknotes, email, google+, chaton) and nothing else, *nothing else* will run, including most system services. you get a very basic ui with a single desktop with all those 6 apps on it, the screen turns black&white, and there's no background data updates/sync of any kind.
of course you can switch between full and power save modes at will, but read below my post about the problem with recognizing key presses on the S7 edge. i would advise you to get the S7 rather than the edge, sure that screen is amazing, but so is the straight S7's, just a touch smaller but without the edge's associated problems.
btw: until last night i had no idea that that problem affected ALL of the edge products, i thought it was just the S7, here's an article that describe the problem on the S6, you can google for plenty more:
on the 7edge the mostly dead keys happen to fall on different letters: 1,0,P in normal mode you can shrink the keyboard and solve the problem, but not in ultra saver.

We've done this with a Note 3 and we went from 2 days battery life to a 6 and a half battery life. Again, this depends on how you use the screenlight, bluetooth, etc. If you setup everything with details, you'll be able to achive the best battery life results. Hope this helps.
Fellas, I need some suggestions. I'm gonna buy either an S7 edge or an iPhone 6s plus (or the 7 plus when it comes out in about 3 months). I like the S7 better on every possible aspect, but standby battery drain is an extremely important factor to me. I know for a fact that iPhones have an amazing standby time, having used an iPhone for more than 2 years. But then I got an HTC m8 (been using it for a year and a half and still counting) and its standby time has been absolutely pathetic, and it got even worse after the marshmallow update. Other than that, my experience with the phone has been amazing. I really want the S7 edge, but I'm hesitant about how the standby time battery drain will be, given my past android experience with the HTC, and that is the only factor that's making me lean towards the iPhone. So how exactly is the standby battery life of the S7 Edge? For instance, If I go to sleep at 12 am with 100% charge, how much would it drain by by the time I wake up at 8am? Cheers!
