I am loosing my trust on Samsung. Up to Note 4, i was too much satisfied. Then i bought S6 EDGE last year and it is about 11 months old now. Now it takes 8 hours to charge! I have tried different adapter, but no results! I didn't even rooted this device.
7 days ago, i bought S7 EDGE (Dual). Everything was fine before an huge update. After updating, I've noticed a lot of color distortion (sometimes some parts of the display turns into greenish, pinkish or light blue). On "always on display", the clock turned into golden color from white. Yesterday I got another update of about 28 megabytes; i thought after the update, i problem will be solved... but nothing happen...
then i search on the internet and found that, not only me. several users are facing this problem....! I was planning to buy Note 7 which will be released on AUG 2nd. Now i am in a big confusion whether I buy a Samsung again or not!
I've been using the Samsung S7 edge for the last 3 months and it's been an amazing phone. Does heat up while browsing continously. Battery life is amazing too and a mind blowing product when it comes to design. But somehow I feel Samsung is cheating the consumer by claiming that the back panel of the phone is a Corning Gorilla 4. I've got a scratch on the back panel and that too wit a key that was in my pocket. The front panel is really tough.
I have S7E and 6S in my daily use. On paper S7E battery timing is much much better than 6S but in real life it's opposite. I am not saying that iPhone is better than Samsung or vice versa. I tried S7, Sony X Performance, HTC 10, Huawei P9 and LG G5 as well, same problem with all of them they gave me less battery time as compared to iPhone. The mobile phone companies trying their best to launch the best phones in market and they doing so but the actual problem is in Android which is power hungry. I am fan of all flagship mobile phones even also like windows 10 mobiles if they give decent battery timing. This is my hobby to buy flagship on first day then use it for 2 or 3 weeks and if don't like it then sell it out.
My favourite at the moment is S7E and 2nd is iPhone 6s which both I'm using now a days. Battery wise iPhone 6s is better than all of the above which I mentioned and I am sure it is due to iOS. I recharged all them again at the evening rather than iPhone and the usage of all were same.
S7 & S7 edge has two models as per CPUS.
1. Snapdragon Quadcore with 4 Cpus
2. Exynos Octacore with 8 Cpus
Both have same power RAM of 4GB LPDDR4 but with different frequency rate. A Ram used with Snapdragon processor is 1852 hrtz and 1752 hrtz Ram used in Exynos processor model. Exynos is latest & fastest technology interduced by SAMSUNG recently & also used in upcoming models. Exynos model faster then Snapdragon with latest processor and features. So keep in mind these points when you go to buy a S7 or S7 edge.
jacky, 21 Jul 2016are you also experiencing heating of your s7 edge when you are using it..even though its just ... moreI am experiencing some heating issues when I get it off the wireless charging plate...dock...platform or whatever you call it lol.
gadgetzguy88, 25 Jul 2016Does the phone heat up uncomfortably when browsing for long periods using data or WiFi?It does get warm, but never uncomfortably hot. It does get a bit hot when you get it off from wireless charging. However, browsing for a long period of time shouldn't be much of an issue.
powerball, 22 Jul 2016S7 edge or Note 7
which one is better?im going to buy it soonTo be honest, if you want to save money while getting up to date specifications, stay with the S7 Edge. Unless getting the latest technology and features (Iris scanner, S-Pen and 5.7 inch screen) is important to you, then Note 7 of course, but it is going to come at a higher price (probably $100-200 more). Considering that the S7 Edge has basically the same processor and GPU, and it has a larger battery with a smaller screen, S7 Edge is a much better choice. However, I hear the Note 7 will come with 6GB of ram which will have better multi-tasking capabilities. But then the S7 Edge's multi-tasking isn't too shabby either.
In my opinion, the upgrade from the S7 Edge to the Note 7 is not that great. But if S-Pen is your life, then obviously Note 7. Other than that S7 Edge is the way to go.
Shidqy, 23 Jul 2016Damn! I cant find 64Gb version! What a joke, Samsung!I think it is GSMArena's fault, because the S7 Edge or the S7 never had a 64gb version :\

Already using S7E for 1 month, great performance, superb screen, camera and video is super sharp, clean & smooth.. Build quality is solid. Speaker ok but voice is on quiet side.. Battery superb, give me 1 day with hard usage.. But only 1 problem, sometime system lags little bit when I scroll up and down in gallery, especially when playing HD clip, it happen many time.. Overall, great device, i'm very happy with my S7E..
powerball, 25 Jul 2016i like samsung better for their display, battery, size, resolution and better looking phone than ... moreAllways note series are better than S series on Samsung. But s7edge is good enough. Better battery, camera and display and chipper compared to iphone 6S plus.
