Anonymous, 17 May 2016Just shows that you are not a heavy user. 3600mAh to feed the 5.5" will only last up to only ... moreYes, 8 hours on heavy use sounds right with the S7 Edge. While 3600mAh seems to do the trick with most people using the S7 Edge, heavier users like me have to plug in, especially if anyone is consuming UP TO 4 to 8 GB of LTE data in A DAY.

That's why I still prefer the old Note 3 with a choice of 10000mAh extended battery. I would normally use up to 50 to 65% of that battery, or 5000mAh to 6500mAh. I get to use it 18 hours stretch, 7.5 hours SOT, almost 3 GB data use: http://flic.kr/p/H1ju9C

Heavy use can reach 18 to 20 hours if needed.

There's a compelling reason why people are going for flagships like the S7 Edge for its bigger battery, and why even the next Galaxy Note should get at least 4200mAh if they're going with sealed battery nonsense. Just so we don't have to keep carrying powerbanks or our chargers.

I have been liking this phone so much as compared to my previous smartphones but unfortunately there is a certain bug which seems to be annoying me which can be found on the link below. One more thing, after a recent security update drains the battery. I wish Samsung do notice this and rectify it as soon as possible.

The.Neighbor, 16 May 2016Thank goodness for that extra .9mm thickness so it can accomodate an extra 1000mAh more batter... moreIt is only you who need water resistance and expansion memory, don't generalize.
It's battery is not that much for a 5.5" screen phone being a flagship worth more than $1000.
Midrange phones with only 5.1" screen has 4000mAh battery.
I think this phone is going backwards but the price is over reacting.
You only pay for the name, nothing more.

You're new here, aren't you?

S7 Edge is a prelude to the Note 6, and I would not mind that being more than 4200mAh capacity.

I already read your post that your Note.5, you saying "My GN5 can gives more than 8 hours SOT". Any screenshots to backup that claim?

I already stated that I used the S7 Edge with over 7:15 hours before it reached 15%. You can see those same screenshots: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92800985@N06/shares/P5Kq72

S7 Edge can reach 8 hours SOT with just browsing the internet based on what I have shown:

(7.25 hours ÷ 85%) x 100% = 8.53 hours of SOT

Yes, I live in a tropical monsoon climate zone. It rains heavily at times. Water-resistance is a welcomed aspect.

Why provide a micro sd card slot that you cant use with dual sim functionality?Pretty idiotic really!Samsung messaging does not give you a choice of what sim to use when forwarding a message so i now use a third party app. For a flagship fone its got too many shortcomings

It is not proportion cause it has 5.5" screen, thereby it will be consumed by the screen with battery hungry TouchWiz. The 3600mAh battery is not enough to feed the 5.5" screen to last even 8 hours of heavy use.

Water-resistance? For what? Do you live in the jungle that always rain?
You cannot even bring it near the beach and get wet by salt water. Therefore it is useless feature.

Better camera sensor? LOL! LG G5 has better camera in addition to the removable battery.
You'll get a full charge in no time.

Anonymous, 16 May 2016That's what you get for buying a $1000 32GB phone with easy to scratch home button. That's just bullshit.
The home button is no way easy to scratch if you use your phone like a human. However if you are some sort of mountain Gorilla then things are different.

Had an S6 Edge. One of the best I've owned so far. flawless performance and camera.
battery life was a slight issue during gaming/taking lots of video and photos but not bad overall. At least it charges so fast you don't really have to worry too much.

S7 Edge *Exynos version on it's way (impulse buy because of the bigger battery, water resistance and slightly bigger screen).

Two of mine different customers use this phone and their responses are this phone like didnt consume much battery. Both of them indicated that with mobile data alwayz on for facebook, saga crush, whatsapp and waze they barely need to charge the phone every two day. I wonder it is really that powerful?

Or else I would have not bought it in the first place. I did not even bother commenting ever on the S6, because I've never been interested with the S lineup until now. I wouldn't mind another millimeter of thickness if it means we get 4600mAh of battery.

It's the first time that the S series beat the Note series with 4 main aspects:
More battery, water-resistance, better camera sensor, and MEMORY EXPANSION.

The Exynos version is easily more efficient in power management.

My S6 doesn't heats up while fast charging wirelessly and it is only 6.8mm thin, sexy phone. LOL! Not bulky brick with 7.7mm depth, ew!
