It does NOT even make sense getting any of the S6/S6 Edge, since it has terrible battery stamina, as a lot of people complain having to charge once or twice more during the day just to keep it going. Keep it real.
S7 Edge has 4 features above the previous S6 and Note.5:
Camera sensor, bigger battery, water-resistance, and MEMORY EXPANSION.
I can't afford one? I bought her the S7 Edge. It has become the family go-to-camera. Although she doesn't use it extensively other than SMS and calls. I've even modified it to take in all 2 SIM and microSD cards. But as soon as we are together, I can always "maintain" the S7 Edge. I know everything there is to know about the S7 Edge. I've even started a record on the battery cycles on a spreadsheet, all because the S7 Edge is the preview of the upcoming Note 6.
So far, the 3600mAh battery seems to meet my criteria of 16 hours of use, with more than 5 hours of SOT, and using some 2GB+ of data daily. I'm not even saying that the S7 is perfect, as Samsung took out the IR remote function, wifi-based DNLA Nearby Devices function, and of course a removable battery system to easily swap out or change to an even BIGGER battery.

I can afford whatever phone I like to buy.
I am planning to buy S7 Edge but when I saw that it is a downgrade, I bought S6 instead.
No heating issue using the wireless fast charging.
How about you? Using your wife's phone. Can't afford to buy your own? LOL!
There's a current poll ongoing, which is the best smartphone. S7 Edge is leading 37% out of 9 phones. Best smartphone to date.
Anonymous, 15 May 2016Can't believe that !!!!If someone is claiming "more than 24 hours" of use because of little or occasional usage, yes, "22 hours of continuous use" is possible... only not so useful.
Sealed batteries are NOT forward thinking as removable battery system can let you just change or even buy a bigger battery than to keep worrying about running out of power. Carrying around charger/powerbank are the problem solutions of iPhone users. Why do we want to inherit them?
AnonD-83813, 13 May 2016i have s7 edge.and battery life is incredible,more than 22hours of continous useCan't believe that !!!!
AnonD-537640, 15 May 2016Hmmm...I can't believe people are really buying all that "Octa-Core" hype. For what exactly do... moreNice for you that you are now buying in. S7 Edge is not perfect, as I have experienced a sudden blank screen with no power button press response - even tried long power button press. I found out that all I had to do was to press both volume down and power buttons to restart.
However it represents PARTIALLY the best of the best features a smartphone can offer. The Octa-core actually works four sets of cores at a time, and you can monitor these with some battery stats monitor apps. It prolongs the battery, switching to a lower frequency processing, and higher frequency if heavier tasks are done. It can lasts only about 7 to 8 hours if you are doing mid-demanding games, and YouTube as I have observed yesterday. Look at the battery drainage for the first 5 hours that made it plunge to some 33% level: http://flic.kr/p/GLhp3h
But look at the how it stabilizes without work. The Screen On Time (SOT) came to 6:25 minutes, with 12% of battery left. And this one is more with more of browsing: http://flic.kr/p/GcFZ5S , showing a less angular projection. This one had over 7 hours of SOT till it reached 15%, over a period of 15 hours. You can go on for days if you aren't using the device, and occasionally browse the internet.
How much SOT can you have with the 3 days you are claiming?
The.Neighbor, 15 May 2016"Mis-touch the edge sometimes, so apps opened a lot."
I find that hard to believe since the... morewell, when i worte that opinion, it was within 24hr after buying S7edge (case hvnt bought yet). So i'd say I am not used to it. My palm touched often. I also mentioned A LOT that may be bcoz i am not used to it. -_-
Now, I hv bought a case and I am used to the curve screen.
#Battery >> fully charged at 8am. At 4pm, it last 65% with moderate usage ( COC,HayDay,FB,Viber,Browsing).
It did become warm in the palm but no overheating.
Well, I love this phone so much now..... ^.^ .
Another thing that I hate about leading brands are the pre loaded aps. Most of it are just garbage. And what really pisses me off, it's the fact that you can't delete most of them. such a waste of memory.
Hmmm...I can't believe people are really buying all that "Octa-Core" hype. For what exactly do you need an OCTA!? Bought myself a ZUK Z1. I have to admit, it does have some issues...but MINOR once...issues that I can live with. It's No Gorilla glass and exmor lenses...but it is worth every penny spent. And the battery life? Reminds me of my 3310. Had it on stand by for the most part with the occasional calls and text and web surfing and it still lasted for 3 days!! played CSR 2 Via Wifi for a total of 4 hours, lasted for 1.5 days. Amazing phone. If only people would stop buying the hype and instead look at what they really need, Samsung wouldn't be pricing their phones this much.
I bought tell s6 edge last month...the phone is awesome..and I don't think I'll ever use anything again if not Samsung.....buying the s7 edge in September...
Anonymous, 15 May 2016My S6 doesn't heat up while charging with wireless fast charger.
Where did you get the idea?Tcool, you do know your ip address shows, right? You don't even have the S6. Conduction charging generates heat. It follows the rules thermodynamics.
If it didn't, the wireless official S7 Edge 3100mAh will not just transfer 1700mAh. I've already tried wireless charging on the Note 3. Same thing happens on the S7 Edge just to see - it also heats up.
phone are liked human nor cars, other are healthy or well made while other are sicked or have troubled. sometimes it good while its new but it will get problem while using it long...
stop your complaint...peace

Anonymous, 14 May 2016Battery degradation and changing the battery is a problem.I'm used to extended batteries as much as 10000mAh, and I can use my Note 3 to my heart's desire of even to more than 20 hours on a single charge without worry of running out. I can use up to
I can say the S7 Edge's sealed 3600mAh battery will give me just what I usually do. With what I do means using 4GB of LTE data, hotspot, 5 hours of Screen On Time, Bluetooth connected to 2 devices all day, notifications turned on, data turned on, no power saving functions and some 16 hours of usage from the time I go out to the time I get back home.
I tested the S7 Edge, and lasted 11:47 hours when it reached 15%, after using 2.68GB wifi, 462mb LTE, 4:35 hours of SOT. It indicated I still had more than 3 hours based on average projection. Same activity on my Note 3 will drain about 50% of the 10000mAh. So, it can just meet my usual normal use, but that can take the battery to less than 5%when I use the S7 Edge. These stats you can see:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/92800985@N06/shares/35z69d
Battery degradation will start to be noticed in probably 3 months later, will probably have 20% less capacity in 6-8 months. With a removable battery, I can just buy anew one, or cycle between multiple batteries to reduce the degradation rates for each.
Shzzz, 12 May 2016friends i am planning to buy S7 edge...!! please advise me......Its a very nice phone , The S7 Edge is one of the best . fast , best screen , and long battery life . the only minus of it is the edges , you can accidentally press them wile holding the phone or typing , and you will need to use phone case to avoid that.

I find that hard to believe since the icons to launch apps NEVER reaches the curved edges. Using this S7 Edge without a case can't trigger the edge functions easily.
Just bought GS7edge.
Firstly, it feels so good in hand. Stunning beautiful.
But since i m not used to curve display, it feels akaward when using.
Mis-touch the edge sometimes, so apps opened a lot. Thats only bckz i m not used to it.
#Performance is so good. No lag at all. But when i downloaded apps, i felt like it warmed up. But so far so good.
#Camera is superb. I compared with my friend's iph6s+ , in some area, iph is better. In some, the edge is better. Also same goes for front camera.I think that will come down to ur own preferences.
#UI, i came from my 4yrs old htc one S. Sense UI is always clean and smooth. But i m ok with s7edge touchwiz.
#battery, since i m using dual sims, i felt like it drains faster than single sim. I just got today, so i can not tell details on battery.
In conclusion,Very beautiful phone, especially in black onyx. I spent abt 770US$ in my country & its worth for it. I was HTC hard core fan but i chose this over HTC 10 bcoz s7edge was Best design in the world. Everyone who saw ur device will take a look for 2nd time.
Feels free to ask me abt the device..... goodluck choosing one. This year is tough choosing ph.
