JohnNy L, 26 Jun 2017Is this phone very fragile and can it be used without a case or the glass would break??It can be used without tempered glass and/or a case. However for that you will have to take care of the phone like a baby!!!
Additionally, this phone has Corning Gorilla 5 glass on front & back. Although the glass is tough enough, it is prone to scratches. So over a period of time the phone will develop visible scratches without screen protector.
Hope this helps.
ADEYI, 27 Jun 2017my samsung s8+ just suddenly fail to display.why please Can you please elaborate the exact issue?
Does the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ works outside of the USA?
Is this phone very fragile and can it be used without a case or the glass would break??
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2017Many thanks for your time and response, i hope it will be safe under cover and tempered glass,... moreYeah, you can keep the phone as good as new if you look after it, after dropping the phone twice before and being lucky enough to not do any damage to the phone, I now use a case (otterbox strada) when I'm out and about and take it off when I'm in the house.
GeekyPranav, 26 Jun 2017Hello friend. Ok so i own galaxy S8( not +) but one of my family member is using S8+ with Spig... moreThank you brother, your information was helpful, it is one hell of costly phone so did not want to take chance if it were too fragile, niw i can see its like other glass phones which need proper care :)

No Ten, 26 Jun 2017Looks like price dropping weekly basis, what is lowest resistance broken ahead! Very pathetic ... moreYeah, love the phone and I'm not such a fan boy that I won't be honest and say it doesn't annoy me a bit, I paid full whack £779 (UK) two months ago and feel it's a bit of a kick in the teeth to drop the price so soon.
I will learn from it though.
Looks like price dropping weekly basis, what is lowest resistance broken ahead! Very pathetic since a month this is happening, why are we to suffer, price bought 950$ black 32 GB.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2017One quick question,is anulyone owning galaxy s8+ have their screen cracked even with case and ... moreI have dropped my S8 Plus (no case) twice now onto a hard surface from approx 4 feet and my phone did not even get a scratch.
Taking into account the amount of S8 and S8 Plus mobile phones sold across the world it's inevitable that some people will suffer a broken screen when their phone is dropped, it happens!
The glass used on the S8 Plus has been extensively tested, and there is no doubt that it's pretty tough BUT that doesn't mean it's unbreakable!!
In the tests devices were dropped face-down from 1.6 meters onto rough surfaces. Gorilla Glass 5 survived up to 80% of the time, far outperforming competitive glasses.
Ok, So if 100 people drop their phone without a case from a height of 1.6 metres onto a hard surface unfortunately 20 phones will suffer damage.
If you or I were one of the unlucky ones, I'm pretty sure you or I would be really upset (understandable) and would probably take to social media to moan about it non stop and then on top of that you will have trolls and fan boy's of other brands trying to whip up negative hysteria about the S8 or S8 Plus. That's the way it goes. I would suggest that you are less likely to hear from people on social media who have dropped their phone without any damage as they will just pick it up and get on with the rest of their day rather than take to social media to complain about it.
You also have to take into account false claims or exageration for insurance purposes.
Anonymous, 26 Jun 2017One quick question,is anulyone owning galaxy s8+ have their screen cracked even with case and ... moreHello friend. Ok so i own galaxy S8( not +) but one of my family member is using S8+ with Spigen liquid Air case and Armorshield screen protector. Its been 2 months and there has not been a single scratch and/or dent. This despite couple of waist level drops.
So realistically both S8 and its bigger sibling are not as fragile as they are made to be. Having said that, these phones are by no means sturdy. But a good shock proof case and screen protector will do the good.
Also, you can check S8+ tear down video by "JerryRigEverything". It will help you to determine the fragileness of the phone.
Hope this helps. Cheers!!!
One quick question,is anulyone owning galaxy s8+ have their screen cracked even with case and tempered glass on ( i mean you have both case and temepred glass but still it cracked on first drop ), everywhere people complaining about its fragileness, is this phone really that much fragile, s8+ users please share your opinion, i am stuck between s8+ and xz premium ( i am liking s8+ more but confused on its fragileness , is this the most fragile phone ever made?? , i mean has it been broken with all those covers in your pocket already)
Thanks in advance
Curious, 23 Jun 2017Can anyone answer this question with any certainty please.
Ok, if I charge my phone up to 1... morei read an article on smart phone batteries a while ago , and they went into great of detail which i cant remember all of it , but the main jist of it seemed to be that it is best not to charge the device right up to 100 % , apparently it causes an electrical pressure situation in the battery that slowly degrades the battery , but 99 % charge is according to article no problem , so that is how i have been doing it for the most part.
from what i have experienced with the S8+ anyway ,
it is very good with battery life , and unlike all of my previous phones , i am not in a hurry to get the phone on charge at night time religeously like i have been for all of my past phones , non of my previous phones on a normal day would see 5 hours screen on time let alone with 48% battery left ............ or 7 hours screen on time with 28% battery left , very happy with it i have to say .
Curious, 25 Jun 2017Thank you for your reply, very helpful. That clears it up, as you can probably see I was hopin... moreEm eceli ur also right. While charge the current splits. Theoretically if the app is using 100% current no charge will go to the battery. However no app use 100% current even games. So let say the game uses 80% current so balance 20% still goes to the battery. This is bad if the battery if it is already fully charge.
