AnonD-681072, 30 Jun 2017When S8 plus going to Launch in 128 6gb in USNever in USA and Europe. I did order a Hong Kong S8+ with 6/128GB + 256GB microSD, great :-)
Hi have used and returned the fone for following reasons:
1) Very impractical design. Very long phone with less width. Slips through hands. Both sides of curved display get touched accidently while using the phone. Typing is difficult due to less width.
2) Otherwise hardware configuration is good but design is flop after my experience.
AnonD-680807, 29 Jun 2017I have a S7Edge and I was planning to change it to the new S8 or S8+ BUT...how am I suppose to... moreI do have some sympathy for what you are saying, I do and it would be such a shame if this is a deal breaker for you, this is such a fantastic phone, not just a fantastic looking phone but it sure runs like a dream ( ok, I know dreams can't run, but you get what I'm saying, yeah) the battery life is great, and it handles anything I throw at it (games etc) without even breaking into a sweat.
Ok, I'm going to say something really controversial!!!! ........wait for it!!!!..........Ok, here goes....
....I actually LOVE the position of the fingerprint sensor, I use a folio case and I can unlock and open the case at the same time effortlessly, I would actually not mind in the slightest if they kept it there on future models........ok, I go bye
AnonD-680889, 29 Jun 2017You shouldn't even be on your phone while driving. Props to Samsung for making less accidents ... moreDo you drive 3 houers every day back and forward to your work? Or...do you ever use your phone when driving? How many people do you think use a phone while driving? If Samsung wants to go into the safety business they should invent a devive that automatically shuts down when driving (not sure how). If they would, would you buy one?

To be honest, it is also the fact that you would expect a phone at this price to be better designed. Flows are acceptable but this one is kind of .... both unexpected and irrational.

AnonD-218710, 29 Jun 2017Maybe I bee qurious, asking now on ebay it's near 700$ and comming done like a house of cards.... moreWell guess what, apparently the price drop is only happening in U.S. I reside in India and it is being sold at the same price when i purchased it 2 months ago. i.e. 895$.
Also nowadays the price drop is not the reflection of how well or how worst a phone has been sold. It is a marketing gimmick. Be it LG or Samsung. They do this to accomodate their upcoming phones. For e.g. Note8 or Note 7FE for samsung & LG G6+ for LG.
AnonD-674516, 28 Jun 2017Do not generalize your issue. It appears you have unfortunately got a faulty device. Go ahead ... moreMaybe I bee qurious, asking now on ebay it's near 700$ and comming done like a house of cards. This is nuisance, prices fall overnight, why it's top of line flagship model. Definitely no demand!
AnonD-680807, 29 Jun 2017I have a S7Edge and I was planning to change it to the new S8 or S8+ BUT...how am I suppose to... more@Mumux: To be honest, for once i will agree with you regarding the placement of fingerprint scanner. It was a last minute decision by Samsung (For some reason they could not place it below the camera). Having said that, they knew it was not an ideal place for FingScan, hence they added couple more security options i.e. Iris Scanner & Face Recognition.
While it will be difficult for you to use any of the above method while driving, Samsung has also designed a new feature where you can add trusted places like car, your home etc which will trigger the phone to auto-unlock (Bypassing whatever lock mechanism u have). Trusted place, Your voice, etx can be setup to bypass unlocking.
To be honest, ditching S8 just coz you cannot use fingerprint scanner while driving is not worth. I own one and have no issues whatsoever.
If it is still a big deal for you, i would recommend LG G6 as an alternative. It is another amazing flagship phone for 550$. You will get most of the things that is in S8.
Dust & water resistance
Best in class dual camera (S8 does not have dual setup)
Noughat 7.1 out of the box.
Hope this helps.
I have a S7Edge and I was planning to change it to the new S8 or S8+ BUT...how am I suppose to use fingerprint when driving with my phone attached to the car holder mount? Congratulations, Samsung. You just gave up a consistent part of your customers with the most idiotic idea ever. I'll just have to start looking for another option and I don't like the IPhone at all. Any ideas?
Romieo589, 27 Jun 2017Does the US version of the Samsung Galaxy S8+ works outside of the USA? GeekyPranav answered that it had to be unlocked. Technically leaving the US, assuming you are still using your cell provider's SIM, then you would be ROAMING outside the US and it doesn't need to be unlocked for that. Roaming can be quite costly - your cell phone company may have a travel plan to help with that.
If you are going on a trip where unlocking can help is that you have researched and found that there is a local provider in the country you are going to and you can buy their SIM/plan which in turn will be a lot cheaper than ROAMING. If the phone is not unlocked you cannot do this.
However, more importantly you should google "newegg cell phone compatibility" for the country list of frequencies and ensure the phone covers that frequency for the country you are visiting. The frequencies are listed here for the phone in question - and model (you click USA). IMO this phone probably will work in most places - lower end/mid tier can have issues since they haven't loaded the phone with as many frequencies due to costs.
Another option - just buy an el cheapo pay-as-you-go phone in the country you are visiting - again researching costs before you go. I live in Canada and I get a US Roaming plan via a site called RoamMobility - they piggyback off T-Mobile. As soon as I cross the border I slip in the SIM - way cheaper and lately has worked better than a few years ago.

Mine is working like a charm since 2 months. I understand that after paying 900$ if such things happen we tend to get frustrated. But as per your issue, it just seems like a faulty device more than anything else.
It's all bullshit, no cover for protection, just bare smooth body in black to have touch feeling every time you use it. It's you maiden date with a 900$ set. Sometimes I forget the front, have to fumble to operate. Just Last Wish Chinese Indian version if 128 GB storage and 6 GB Ram, not even available outside for 5k $ even! It's a Hoax!
The phone suddenly give me 100 % charged and changed the time to 7 am while it was 1 am and when i remove ir from charger after 2 hours charging it give me 96 % ??? It just not the phone who deserve 900 $ it just like note 3
