Ok, if I charge my phone up to 1... morei read an article on smart phone batteries a while ago , and they went into great of detail which i cant remember all of it , but the main jist of it seemed to be that it is best not to charge the device right up to 100 % , apparently it causes an electrical pressure situation in the battery that slowly degrades the battery , but 99 % charge is according to article no problem , so that is how i have been doing it for the most part.
from what i have experienced with the S8+ anyway ,
it is very good with battery life , and unlike all of my previous phones , i am not in a hurry to get the phone on charge at night time religeously like i have been for all of my past phones , non of my previous phones on a normal day would see 5 hours screen on time let alone with 48% battery left ............ or 7 hours screen on time with 28% battery left , very happy with it i have to say .
Curious, 25 Jun 2017Thank you for your reply, very helpful. That clears it up, as you can probably see I was hopin... moreEm eceli ur also right. While charge the current splits. Theoretically if the app is using 100% current no charge will go to the battery. However no app use 100% current even games. So let say the game uses 80% current so balance 20% still goes to the battery. This is bad if the battery if it is already fully charge.
Hey guys, here's a question for you! Amongst all Samsung Galaxy devices, is S8+ the only biggest device with a larger screen?
Kcar, 24 Jun 2017When its charge the current splits to two. One to charge battery. One is to use apps. So if ba... moreThank you for your reply, very helpful. That clears it up, as you can probably see I was hoping someone would tell me that once the battery is fully charged and I kept the charger plugged in to play a game it will only take the power needed from the charger, just as long as the power (resources) needed to play the game was not more than the power needed to charge the battery (if that makes sense) Would of been sooo helpful to the battery if I/we were able to do that, would be a great selling point.
Yeah, I've heard that before about not letting the battery drain down to 0%. Thank you for confirming and I will take note of not charging to the max also.
Thank you for taking the time to read and reply to my post. Appreciated.
Curious, 23 Jun 2017Can anyone answer this question with any certainty please. Ok, if I charge my phone up to 1... moreWhen its charge the current splits to two. One to charge battery. One is to use apps. So if battery is full it will still charge it. This is bad for battery. Better to play game on battery. When 10% charge it. U can play while charge. Also prolong battery life is never charge to full. Only charge to 90%.
AnonD-331571, 23 Jun 2017You should have got a replacement phone since the one you bought was faulty??? I already replace one but having the same problame.
I think Samsung Galaxy S8+ is amazing in all ways fast speed and fantastic curved screen. I could think of some improvements such as the camera and battery...
Curious, 23 Jun 2017Can anyone answer this question with any certainty please. Ok, if I charge my phone up to 1... moreIts has bad impact on battery because after few days your phone will not give you the good timing as today better to plug out phpne when it became fully charged nd enjoy games nd charge it when it comes to 30% or less
The galaxy s8 plus is a great phone just wish the black bars in the camera app would be smaller or not there at all and I sjould be able to lower the resolution to get a full screen
Can anyone answer this question with any certainty please.
Ok, if I charge my phone up to 100% (green indicator light on to tell you it's fully charged) and I keep the charger plugged into the phone whilst playing games. Does this have any negative impact on the battery? Will the power I'm using to play the game come directly from the charger and bypass the battery?
The reason for asking is that this method might be a good way of prolonging the batteries life (less charging) by using your phone to play games etc with charger plugged in when the battery is 100% fully charged.
Thanks in advance for your help.
wI am using s8+ for last 1 month. My experience is it is better then s7 edge. But I am very much disappointed for its earpiece speaker. It's vibrate when calling to other (it was not in s7 edge and note 5). Also when I play a music its back glass vibrate seriously. I asked it to samsung customar care they told me it is normal. But for me it's not normal. I am thinking to seal the phone and buy another brand.
