suomynona, 16 Jun 2017More RAM doesn't mean more efficiency. Unused RAM consumes unnecessary battery power and lead ... moreAn Android with 2GB of RAM is like an iPhone with only 512MB of RAM. You can't compare Android and iOS based on their hardware specs. Android and iOS are different operating systems. They don't work the same way, and they have different hardware requirements. For an Android device to work as well as an iPhone with 2GB of RAM, it would need to have about 4GB of RAM or even more. Android uses more resources, thus it needs more RAM. iPhone on the other hand uses less resources, thus it needs less RAM compared to Android. My Samsung Galaxy S5 has 2GB of RAM, and it cannot hold as many apps open in RAM as an iPhone with 2GB of RAM would, even on near-to-stock Android. With 4GB of RAM, I think my S5 would be able to hold a lot more apps open, nearly as much as an iPhone. That's just how it works. Even if Android tried to better its RAM management, I don't think it'd be enough because it's just more resource heavy than iOS.

Its one of two things that keep me from buying it.. the other thing being the 4GB RAM.. I' not sure how future proof that is keeping in mind that mid range devices are being launched with as much as 8GB RAM..
[deleted post]You're not making the point you think you're making, Nice try though.. lol
How can you guys stand to use/look at a phone having tapered screen edges? This phone's screen is too narrow and it doesn't help that it even looks narrower due to the tapered edges. This screen is basically a stretched 5-inch screen. It's even narrower than the S7 screen.
I bought this to replace my S6, I had high hopes but the honestly im very disappointed. The phone lags and sometimes apps crash. The battery life is also bad. Samsung never again!
