Samsung didn't post my review I bought s8 on 6may 2017 but I have a problem with battery its didn't last even a day on normal use. I went to authorize Samsung dealer but they didn't even want to hear the problem nor replace it. What to do ?
Omar-Os, 19 May 2017Looks like you don't know anything about the CPUs and how they affects the battery life.haha stop bull shitting me no need to move my ass.... i am pretty sure the battery life is notoriously bad as galaxy note 5 with 3000mah and 5.7 QHD screen.... (well known prob).... also read comment that some charge it twice a day with heavy usage.... sad... the phone battery is destroying in a year ..... lolllll
I had an issue with sound turning off itself randomly, week after i bought it. Domestic retail customer support in Croatia "Agram servis", official Samsung retailer, didnt replace the device like others do when it is an error in whole series of devices. Instead, i waited repairs for more then a week. This is the last time i bought Samsung flagship.

Polius, 21 May 2017Try using it under the moonlight. Your phone should feels colder. ;-)its not an answer
Suhanoo, 21 May 2017Are you using the 4K (UHD) recording? 4K uses much more processing power and battery and thus ... morei dont even record videos....just normal opening the camera app and feel warm after some time.

Anonymous, 21 May 2017S8's wireless charging based on Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 Consequently, it is reportedly slow... moreCharging speed between those two are very marginal. Makes no real life differences.
Stan, 20 May 2017I don't know if I should buy this phone. It looks good and everything inside is so great. But ... moreThe differences between Apple and Android are considerable, so ask yourself 3 questions and decide from there.
1) How important is platform flexibility for you vs convenience?
Apple offers a pretty seamless environment that relies on a rigid hardware and software setup. Android offers expandable storage and more options with media, connectivity and backward compatibility.
2) How important is customizing your external product?
Apple has a following tens of millions strong and the options for cases, color ways, and accessories increases daily. Android offers a more streamlined option for accessories, but case options and colors are limited by a spintered market share.
And 3) How important is camera and imaging to you?
While the two phones stack up fairly comparably to one another, editing options are better on the S8 and overall camera build is slightly superior on the iPhone.
As the older option, the iPhone is likely going to have some cheap contract options now. But iPhones tend to retain their value for 2 generations. So, if you should choose to upgrade in the next 2 years, the iPhone would be a more cost effective option, likely drawing a bigger resale.
All things considered, good luck, and happy hunting!
.Andy., 20 May 2017my device is heating up whil using the camera under bright sunlight with full brightness. is a... moreAre you using the 4K (UHD) recording? 4K uses much more processing power and battery and thus creates heat - it's normal. 2K (QHD) recording also generates heat, but not as much as 4K. I normally use 1K (FHD) with 60fps and it doesn't heat up the device.
Hope that helped you. Take care. CIao...
OS Update, 20 May 2017What about the OS update on the iphone product or apple , for example ,based on my knowledge ... moreApple makes only one or two flagship phones a year and nothing else and the OS is baked in their home. If they don't give the updates, then why will people buy it even? On the other hand, Samsung makes more than 10 phones a year, starting from flagships to entry level. And the OS is not their own. After Google releases the updates, they need to customize it to the devices' needs. So yes, iPhone is definitely ahead of Samsung there.
But wait, the story is not over. I have seen iPhone 5 (32GB) became unusably slow after the update. The reason - lack of storage space after the update. So what's the use of the update if you can't use the phone afterwards? Generally, Androids serve you for two years with updates. Then you are on your own. People who uses Androids are generally tech savvy and they know how to root their devices and go for a custom ROM after the two years period (sometimes even before two years). That keeps the phone running smooth and do not need to wait for the update from the respective manufacturers. My Note 4 was 3 years' old (released in 2014) and got an update on Early January this year. It was still in Marshmallow, but then again, so was SGS7 & SGS7e. Had I have the phone right now, I would either get the update from Samsung or would install a custom ROM along with Android Nougat.
It depends totally on how much you'll rely on the manufacturer. iPhone users have no other option but to beg to Apple whereas Android users basically shows the middle finger if the manufacturers don't support them enough and install their own OS version and custom ROM and for the next purchase chooses another manufacturer.
I hope I could make you understand clearly. Take care. Ciao...
BarryMcKochiner, 20 May 2017I've had my S8 for about a week now and I love it. Gorgeous screen, long lasting battery, fast... moreI agree with you in most part but battery life sucks even I have s8 for 2 weeks and my friends wanted to play with it but it won't last for half day with heavy usage..
S8's wireless charging based on Qualcomm quick charge 2.0
Consequently, it is reportedly slower than LG g6 a, Google pixel and some Chinese phones in "charging speed"
Qualcommhas launched even quick charge 4.0
Samsung doesn't't make features BUT makes talking point only for promotion and in showrooms
Vishal Choudhary, 18 May 2017I own a S8... and facing a irritating problem with s8.... sounds like ringtone notifications m... moreYou should take it to claim your warranty and preferably an exchange. But before that, please check the settings. I believe I have seen an option where it said something like TURN OFF THE SOUND EVEN IF THE RINGER IS ON or something. I didn't think that was helpful, so I kept it off. I searched, but can't find it now.
And if your phone restarts as well, you definitely should go for claiming warranty. Devices should NOT restart in any case. BTW, did you Sync your data from the previous device(s)? I heard before that this might be the case. So I didn't Sync anything, instead I copied the backup of the contacts only and installed everything else fresh from the scratch. If you can, do a factory reset and just copy the contacts only and see if the phone restarts or not.
If nothing improves, please go for warranty as soon as possible.
Wish you all the best. Take care. Ciao...
