Currently I have Lg G3 and its been more than 2 years since I have been using this phone. Its a great device. The only thing that I don't like about this phone is the washed-off colour of the screen (though the screen is crisp) and the battery. So now I am in need of a new phone.
Until 20 June, I had a huge confusion about which phone to buy. I had expected a lot from OnePlus 5 but it is a huge disappointment at-least for me.
Now I am confused between G6 and S8 and need some suggestions from you all. I don't care about the presence of SD 835 in S8 coz I really feel that SD 821 would be sufficient for me as G3 have SD 801 and I'm happy in that department.
The only thing is the battery and display which I think is a bit better in case of S8. But S8 costs Rs 20000 more than G6.
The question is that is S8 worth the extra Rs 20000 (around 300 USD)? or should I go with G6?
PS: I had S3 before G3 and I dont have any concern with the LG UI or Samsung Touchwiz. So kindly ignore the UI point of view.

I am sure it is one of your dreams to own a premium flagship phone from Samsung or Apple.
Dont be disheartened mate. You will get there one day.

GeekyPranav, 25 Jun 2017Ok so the point is, SAMSUNG has always been a premium brand. It takes daredevilry to come up w... moreAgreed with what you said! Unknown should have think carefully and wisely before he or she declares anything about the phone. Recently, I have also been using Galaxy S8+, I don't find anything wrong about the phone. It doesn't lag and often performs well and even has an advanced features in it. I respected Samsung for their big great effort! If anyone did not know about this yet, Samsung is the first technological company to be established in the country worldwide. They started off creating small and ordinary phones like Galaxy J1 Mini Prime, Galaxy Young and all those modern devices since the early 19s from Korea or China which I couldn't recall. But up till now, Samsung has not given up and I knew for sure that Samsung will never give up and keeps going to provide its fans a premium and luxurious brand phones like Galaxy S8 and S8+. As their fans, we should appreciate their efforts and stop complaining about what's good or bad about the phone. We should be more appreciative of Samsung's creation because some people doesn't even have a single phone to experience with! Hence, I will fully continue to be a diehard supporter of Samsung because I knew they have done their best abilities and will continue moving on to create more grand and premium phones. Anyway, I genuinely hope that Galaxy S9 or Note 8 would be a better and upgraded device. I wonder why Apple is still stucked at iPhone 7? Shouldn't iPhone 8 be released soon?
[deleted post]My Exynos version does not overheat. I am not sure if this problem is isolated to Snapdragon devices.
Anonymous, 25 Jun 2017Overdose in overpriced absolutely in this thing $s8$ lolGrateful u did not or are not buying it. It would have been a waste for Samsung had u bought it:):):)

It takes daredevilry to come up with such a unique & beautiful device. No other manufacturer can even think of pulling off something like this. So respect samsung for its effort.
Overpriced?? Did i just hear Apple:) ??
You need a screen protector & a case free of cost??....Why not a yearly cellular plan as well along with a vacation in Bahamas???

These are the big problems that got me so livid and... moreSince you have so many unsatisfaction about S8 devices, why did you bought it in the first place? You might as well buy an iPhone 7 instead of S8. I am a diehard supporter of Samsung. Therefore, I won't allow anyone to criticize or ruin Samsung's reputation. Samsung have really tried their best to produce a high quality phone. You have no rights to blame Samsung. Why buy Samsung S8 when you are not even a supporter of Samsung?
StevenNewcastle, 23 Jun 2017You're wrong. The Samsung screen doesn't come close to Sony's. The Sony is faster, has a bette... moreThere is no plastic in S8. Sony have old and ugly design with large bezels. Also exynos is better than Snapdragon. Better battery life and camera. Only draw back is the fingerprint sensor.
I upgraded from the Galaxy S7 and I am quite pleased with this device. The Audio quality is excellent and I like the Extra Volume feature for outdoor use. The speakerphone is good as well and is louder than the S7.
The display is great. Having a larger aspect ratio makes most of my apps, especially my weather apps look real good. Screen is very responsive even with a screen protector. The Edge display enhances the experience too.
The ROM of 64 GB is great coming from a 32 GB device. I have 48 GB of free space available with my photos and apps. I elected to add my 32 GB Micro SD card (Class 10) for more storage. The 4 GB of RAM handles everything well, I was a bit surprised that it does not come with more RAM, like 6 GB or more.
My music files sound good with the supplied head phones but they lack Bass compared to my S7. The music player handles very well. I feel there was improvement on it since the S7. Videos are sharp with the video player.
The thing that impresses me the most is the improved battery life compared to the S7 with the same 3000 Mah Battery. I have time when I am only losing 0.25% per hour on standby. The battery charges fast, the same as the S7. I was skeptical prior to purchasing that Samsung is using the same battery as the S7, I am pleasantly surprised. It lasts more than all day with moderate usage.
Overall this is an excellent product. I will not be parting with this one!
