Just got it week ago, upgraded from S6. In my opinion this is the best phone now, literally you can't compare it with anything else, for now, the best. Screen, chipset, doesn't have competition, battery life is amazing. Later, arguably biggest improvement from s6. It will last for two days under heavy usage IF you use 720p res and turn of gimmicky "always on display". I'm not going to even mention camera, it is definitely if not the best will be second for sure. Again, Samsung showed who is the boss. If you need best phone now, don't even look around just get S8
The S8 is a great phone but the fingerprint scanner is in an awkward position and there is a slight red tint on mine (although Samsung claims that it will be fixed through an update). The display looks amazing, but the bezels just come back because of the odd aspect ratio when consuming content. Camera is not at all different from the S7 and S7 edge. I suggest getting a Huawei Mate 9 instead!!
Hello from Sri Lanka!
I was a long time Mi- fan and used the Redmi Note 3 (one of the best phones I've used).
Then I bought the Galaxy S8 and I gotta say that this is the real deal. There are so many reviews online and I should also add as a regular user, the phone keeps it's promise.
The camera is the best out there and the performance is outstanding. Of course are not in a race between the mili-seconds to open and close apps. LOL. The user experience is so nice.
The phone is built in a very posh manner and the build quality cannot be better. The Fingerprint scanner which is on the back doesn't make much of a difference now that I'm used to it.
The battery is amazing! I am a daily user and I can survive 1 1/2 days with a charge and with all the time being connected on Wifi and Mobile data.
This phone really rocks and don't hesitate to buy one if you are planning to.
tusharmohan, 10 May 2017*grabs popcorn* the moment when an iphone owner takes some serious offence. hahaha!! :D :D
Rather than investing on this brittle phone that shatters with a mere few feet drop and has a display issue (red tint) which Samsung does not want to acknowledge and is even unable to fix it through their latest update, I would suggest this: go invest in a gold biscuit.
Samsung is just loosing it. First with the Note 7 and now the S8. God Bless Samsung and those who own Samsung devices!
Gerald, 09 May 2017Your totally stupid, And yes iphone can easily cast to a smart tv, This kind of comment comes ... moreWhat so ever! I am not a samsung fan or iphone hater! I am trying to say that android phones are more reliable than iphone OS! By the way enjoy with your safari and have nice trip into mirror with your selfie !!!!
Anonymous, 09 May 2017Don't get me wrong I am a USER..... not a fan I account for the real facts and true conditio... moreOk, Enjoy it! But for judge about a device you need to have good knowlege about that subject and not only to be an user! I don't need to buy iphone and I already have iphone 7 plus in office that I am work. Future is belong to Android and in this battle iphone with os operating software would be vanished in one day!
Goki, 09 May 2017I love my new Galaxy S8, it have gorgeous display, look very beautiful and eye catching... fin... moreLet's agree to disagree...the speaker on S8 is one of the loudest you get on a Samsung phone, about the same loudness as my S6 edge...that is probably just a little less loud than S4 which was super loud.
Hope S9 will get stereo speakers....instead of all the useless features like heart rate monitor.
Xat, 10 May 2017Beast phone. Charging is too slow, takes around 1 hr + 50 mins from 0-100℅ in switch... more1 hour and 50 minutes is normal to 100%. You have to understand that Fast Charge only works from like 0-50% in like 30 minutes and then it charges slow after that. Fast Charge is great if you're in a hurry to travel and don't have much time to charge.
Beast phone. Charging is too slow, takes around 1 hr + 50 mins from 0-100℅ in switch off mode.
Samsung have put Quick Charge 2.0 to their regular flagship S8 and S8+ whilst its supported QC 4.0 version on Snapdragon 835, can't stand with that

Frankly how do u see ear piece loudness while in call when u compare wi... moreI think it's the same like Note 4. I might be wrong, but that's how I felt. The loudspeaker is good, if not great. Both loudspeaker and ear speaker mode are clear in the ear.
Take care. Ciao...
Mobile Expert123, 09 May 2017If you are an iphone fan then keep your opinion for yourself! There are several phones in mark... moreYour totally stupid, And yes iphone can easily cast to a smart tv, This kind of comment comes from somebody who has never owned an iPhone. And I'd like to see proof of a samsung beating an iphone in speed tests/gaming ect. Yes my last point I have owned a Samsung device which was the best and last phone samsung made which was the galaxy note 4 which unfortunately got stuck in a bootloop after updating. And no really I don't miss anything about it except a the removable battery. You can bash apple all you want but some people don't want to put up with the unnecessary bull .... clear catch, force close app , send error reports and so the list goes on. Also I enjoy trade in value , you'll pay £700 for a Samsung 1 year later you'll get £200 tops, you'll pay £700 for a iphone 1 year later you'll still get £350 tops. So nobody can complain about the price of an iPhone they still carry value years after so every ones a winner.
Suhanoo, 09 May 2017Thank you. You should get one yourself if you can. It is a good device.

Frankly how do u see ear piece loudness while in call when u compare with ur old phone note 4
And also how do.u compare loudness when u turn on speaker while in call when u compare it with note 4?
I have used water resistant phones before and I wasn't able to hear well other part neither from ear piece nor loudspeaker, that is why I am asking
