Ilvan jung, 28 Apr 2017i do understand your concern, but if them makes largest capacity battery, the phone will becom... moreTrue, plus we need more research into newer more powerful battery's but in same size container. :). I am getting S8 soon it is phone of the year. :)
mischa, 28 Apr 2017This is not just a bezelless S7. It's a brand new phone. Everything on this phone is an upgrad... moreHahaha... don't be ridiculous now mischa, are seeing what you are saying. Because i see what you are saying, and what you're saying is total bull lol. Stop misleading the people with your scram talk. The S8 is basically an S7 edge plus version of the original s7 edge. Its not really an upgrade.
Kelsey B, 28 Apr 2017We have been asking for better battery life for over a decade now. They give us energy saving ... morei do understand your concern, but if them makes largest capacity battery, the phone will become even more thicker make the phone body shape unattractive. the battery maybe a little bit poor, but the phone performance are improving. sometimes largest screen display is not the problem cause the battery drain. we can't expert something that what we expert to happen. maybe s9 wiil be your choice.
The following are few lines from the GSMArena S8 review:
"It is worth mentioning that our standard color tests all measure color accuracy against the sRGB color space. By that standard, our S8 unit managed an average deltaE of 2 and a maximum one of 3.2, using the AMOLED Basic mode.
The S8 has a total of four selectable screen modes, each with its own gamut specifics. If you really want to get technical about it, AMOLED Cinema is very accurate as per the DCI-P3 color gamut. AMOLED Photo is what you want to come as close to Adobe RGB as possible and Basic Screen mode aims towards sRGB or Rec. 709. The latter is usually what consumer digital cameras, TVs, laptops and other tech aim for, so it could be a familiar sight, if you spend a lot of time in front of other screens."
What it says clearly that S8 screens are one of the best screens available. And now I'm almost sure that red tint issue was created by some trolls (there are a lot of them). Yet, Samsung didn't say "This white color is so old age, so we made the screen reddish" or "It was our Ex-CEO's dream and we made it true" or "You want red screen, you just don't know it yet" or "It's the best Galaxy S ever made, after the first Galaxy S". Such iD-iOts! What did Samsung do? They went through the issue and released an uodate even before the devices were shelved. So humble! But people take humble attitude as weakness. So they kept trolling.
Anyway. I know for sure that red tint is not troll, it's true. But even then it's not an issue, not yet. 10 in just 10 million has this problem and Samsung launched an update. Trolls here are just upset because their phone manufacturers don't response until it's a bigger issue.
And those of you wanna say that Samsung pays me, well, you don't need to be paid to tell the truth. And only bra-iNless people will fail to judge how true I am. Ciao...
Check the following links for the S8 & S8+ red tint issue:
Troll ONLY AFTER reading and understanding it fully.
Look, there are NO PERFECT PHONES out there. Every phone has it's flaws (unless it's an iPhone. Everything in an iPhone is always better). But one will always correct the flaws from another phone.
I can show you more than 10 videos on the following:
Reasons S8 is better than [Phone ABC]
Reasons [Phone ABC] is better than S8
So why bother wasting time on bashing? I've told it before, I'm telling it again, I love constructive criticism. But bashing on things like red tint is so immature when it can be fixed. And even worse, they don't know why the AMOLED screens differ in color temperature (reason behind red tint).
And about the lag, if you put a 4000ltr engine in a 500kg chasis and 5000kg chasis, definitely the 500kg will be faster. The reason I don't like iPhone is because it can customise the wallpaper and that's it. A phone is NOT about the wallpaper only as a car is NOT about changing the seat cover only. Yeah, you can change from economy to sports mode, but that's NOT customization. Customization is changing the headlights, backlights, rims, hoods etc. Similarly, changing the whole looks of the phone is called customization. If you put on a hauler on a car, it'll definitely lose it's power than the same model car unless you put a better engine in it. But hauler sounds good. Similarly, a bigger curved screen draws more power from the CPU, but that doesn't make is less beautiful. Any idiot like me will understand that. But no, the iD-iOts never understand.
Even after so many examples if you keep complaining and comparing S8 with stupid things, well, wake up. It's impossible to wake someone up who's just pretending to be asleep.
So, Mr. Gerald, Apple DOES pay you. Else how would you even think about it? Guess what, to tell the truth you even don't need to be paid. The product speaks for itself. The reason you want an iPhone over an Android is because either you are too lazy to customise or don't know how to do it. Cause in this world everyone loves to make things their own way. Be faster as much as you want. I never said to buy S8 over S7. I said I prefer S8 better than S7 when it comes for me to choose and that is my opinion, others can be different. Please read first before commenting. Don't be an iD-iOt.
Mr. Harold, please follow the news. The red tint CAN be tweaked. And I can send you at least 3 videos on YouTube on how to do that. Unlike you, not everyone loves to lie. ROFL.
Everyone take care. Ciao...
To0Eazy, 27 Apr 2017Has all the essentials: great camera, fast processor, the BEST screen on the market, and micro... moreYou know how more megapixel doesnt make a better camera. The same goes for battery. Dont look at the battery capacity but look at the endurance rating instead. This S8 3000mah have 84hrs endurance compare to S7 with the same 3000mah battery but 80hrs endurance. Smaller battery doesnt always mean shorter battery life and bigger battery doesnt always mean longer battery life.
In comparison, LG G6 with 3300mah battery has 72hrs endurance. Honor 8 Pro with 4000mah battery has 77hrs endurance. Oneplus 3 with 3000mah with 66hrs endurance. It also depends on year of the model made. A 3000mah battery phone 3 years ago have somewhere around 60-70hrs endurance rating. Today a 3000mah phone can have more than 80-90hrs endurance. Things do improved due to better chipset and newer android version. You can expect in the future somewhere 3 years from now a 3000mah phone can have a stellar 100+ endurance rating.
To give an overall picture, according to Gsmarena database the only phone with the highest battery endurance is Lenovo P2 with 149hrs endurance rating of 5100mah battery. So, dont expect any of the phone out there get any higher than this number.
Suhanoo, 27 Apr 2017Just finished reading Honor 8 Pro's review here in GSMArena. One thing to point out here for a... moreCan you do a Sony version of this thing you just wrote. Im getting tired with the XZP this, XZP that, better this, better that. Geez. These people are nuts!
Ilvan jung, 27 Apr 2017as my opinion, battery life is not the problem anymore for any device, every smartphone almost... moreWe have been asking for better battery life for over a decade now. They give us energy saving and tell us to turn screen down etc but as we do these things it hinders the phone turning back into a dumb phone. What is the point of having these smartphones to be told we cannot use them to their full potential?.
All this fast charging is good if you can get to a mains socket these things are supposed to run on there own steam. Why should we have to carry battery packs? These are smartphones not part time smartphones that is dumb yet its 2017 and still batterys not large enough to at least power the phone for 16hrs (other 8hrs spent asleep)..
This is all smartphones not just S8.
Ali Bashir, 27 Apr 2017900$ for bezelless s7, this is ridiculous. This is not just a bezelless S7. It's a brand new phone. Everything on this phone is an upgrade from the S7 unlike the Xperia XZs which is basically an XZ with a new camera and nothing more. And the red tint is not a big issue at all.
Stop knocking about this phone this phone is just perfect is what are we waiting for small phone big screen and the song that comes from from the headsets it's unbelievable the base oh my God look for yourself a favor get one of these babies and this is coming from an iPhone lover
as my opinion, battery life is not the problem anymore for any device, every smartphone almost the sames spec for an example, largest screen display inch largest battery, and higehst price also largers storage between ram, core, processor. how large your battery, you still need charge it. even if you use lenovo p2 5100mah with super amoled 5.5 inch display you still need to charge it everyday. the conclusion is about is depend on our self, how smart we use the device, what things we access or connected to the device we using today and how long we use it. you can not complaining the phone is draining too fast because it was yourself using it, and of cause the more you use it, the more it drain, but the less you use it the less it drain so lets say be more stable, not too drain, not too save. use something smart not only the things smart, we also need to be smart so we get the solution. human nowdays expect soemthing even more then ever but must remember been a smartphone user we still need a laptop for work because today smartphone spec almost the sames specs with a laptop. i really proud with samsung even i ever a samsung haters also never use samsung. Samsung had failed once but after the failure, them makes some improvement. i trust samsung will never had any issues for this time. get what you trust, love what you get.
Just finished reading Honor 8 Pro's review here in GSMArena. One thing to point out here for all the trolls out there. H8Pro has 4000mAh battery, but only stands at 77hrs in the battery test. What it means that, just putting a bigger battery is not the solution. It's the combination of all the things under the hood. If a phone is equipped with better machineries, then it can perform better.
Now, those of you are trolling about the smaller battery on a phone with bigger display, this should be an example for you to learn that if there is better processor and faster modules inside, even phones with smaller batteries can perform better.
And btw, just heard that iPhone 8 (or whatever they call it) won't be out this year for the following reasons:
1. Apple failed to make curved screens (Samsung is doing it for what, since Note edge, right? It's should be so old design by now for that half eaten fruit)
2. Apple failed to make the fingerprint scanner under the screen (Well, Synaptics already did that and it's coming to Note 8)
3. Half eaten can't bring back the headphone jack after saying "it's so old and obsolete design" and the fact that iD-iOts hated it, they can't do anything about it. Still the iD-iOts are trying to troll on others as they can't contain their jealousy.
Finally, half eaten is so threatened by S8 & S8+ that they knows if they don't go beyond S8 duos, they will fall on the ground. It'll be proved in front of everyone that it's not worth anymore. Samsung makes more than one design in a year and can take it if one fails. But one spec-iAl company makes only one design a year (two recently) and even after that if they fail, they'll be known as losers. I'm sorry, the correct spelling should be iLosers then.
I don't like to go on conflicts. I love to believe whatever you like is your own choice. But I had no other options but to say these as some iD-iOts started to cross the line over here. If you hate S8 so much, then why are you here in this S8 page? Why don't you go to your own page to love it? We want to hear constructive reviews here, not bashing S8. If there is a real problem, we are ready to hear constructive reviews. Nobody wants to hear bad things about something they love. So this will be my last hit to iPhone as long as you keep your voice down to constructive criticism. Everybody cheers now. CiaoÂ…
Suhanoo, 27 Apr 2017Someone commented on your comment about red tint. For his info,.it's already been solved by an... moreThats a hardware issue and can't be solved stop lying and trolling people. Samsung admitted it as a mistake. Guess the note7 still didn't teach them a lesson.
Suhanoo, 27 Apr 2017Someone commented on your comment about red tint. For his info,.it's already been solved by an... moreSeriously how much does samsung pay you, Majority of those specs you listed are all gimmicks, Don't start criticizing iphone fans for being childish because to me you sound like one also. List one thing that is worth buying the galaxy s8 over the s7. Customization like what a pointless launcher which will just add more lag, The only launcher worth using is google now. I'd rather feel safe using iOS to pay for items rather than any Android device.
mischa, 27 Apr 2017This phone is reasonably priced. You are basically getting the best smartphone out right now w... moreNo thanks..we don't need Samsung. Much better opti out there! Sony, HTC, Huawei, Oneplus and LG
abdeali21, 27 Apr 2017for those who are saying samsung is overpriced let me remind you that iphone was launched at 70000Someone commented on your comment about red tint. For his info,.it's already been solved by an update. But tell you what, I wouldn't buy a phone without headphone jack even if someone offers me 70000 more with it. That's something not solvable through a software update and no matter how much they say "It's a design of so old age" or "You wanted it, you just didn't know it" or maybe "It was X's dream, we just made that ture". ROFL. How iFan boys say stup-iD things. Well, they never know the power of WE, as they are so much into I. They only love to show off, nothing else. No customization, no doing everything, just being fast. Well, be that way. Cheers. Ciao...
