The Next BIG Thing, 06 Jul 2017There was a lot made about the fingerprint scanners position, but it's actually not bad at all... moreReally think you need to see a shrink ..... lol. Keep up the good humour it's a welcome change from all the whingers and the "my phone is better than your phone" trolls.
S8+ User, 06 Jul 2017The screen on my S8+ broke when it fell about 2 1/2 feet - it had a case and the screen cracke... moreI can really empathise with what has happened to your phone and how you might be feeling about it, I do. I'm sure I would be upset about it too.... .I think anyone would.
Will you accept that anyone who has dropped their phone, (especially the first time dropped) regardless of what the model was or who manufactured it, will automatically not be very happy with how fragile the phone was.... and will most likely take to social media and forums to complain about it (as you have done) and say things like "OMG this is the most fragile phone Ever"?
You are less likely to hear from people who have dropped their phone when the phone has suffered no damage, as they are unlikely to shout about it as they will just pick up the phone and get on with the rest of their day.
Another thing to consider is the amount of trolls or fan boy's that will latch on to any negative thing about a rivals phone and hype it up even more.....and that's before you even consider the exageration and out and out lies.... it got to a point where I thought I only needed to touch the phone in order to break it, such was hysteria created!!!
As I have said before, I have dropped my phone twice now on a hard tiled floor with no case and the phone did not even suffer a scratch, and it was from a greater height than you dropped yours.
I must say though, I do have a case for my phone now (folio) which has led me, well, quite frankly, ..... to the brink of potentially being the next biggest global mega star.......... but hey, that's a whole different story.......
The screen on my S8+ broke when it fell about 2 1/2 feet - it had a case and the screen cracked in 2 places.
I'm very unhappy with the durability (or lack thereof) of this phone.

venkat, 05 Jul 2017s8 is handy and comfortable to finger print scanerThere was a lot made about the fingerprint scanners position, but it's actually not bad at all. I wonder if I started a petition to KEEP the finger print scanner in its current position, how many people would sign it? They could always place one under the screw too!
It's really easy when you are using a case and can even unlock the phone whilst taking your phone from your pocket, super fast.
Another way to impress your friends is to use a folio case and say to your friends you possess 'magic power's and watch their faces as you unlock the phone whilst opening up the case!! ...... incredible and people will be buying you drinks (non alcoholic if under 18 (uk ) all night long. I'm a kind of celebrity in my home town, and people come from miles away to see me perform my magic!!! Its quite stressful at times though, so I won't encourage it as sometimes I just want to walk down the high street without being mobbed by screaming members of the opposite sex.
I will be auditioning for next years Britain's Got Talent, watch out for me ok.
What chipset is in your s8? Mine is Exynos and i charge it once a day after around 15 hours of heavy usage. Before s8 i had Sony z5 compact, and the battery was about the same.

Just bizarre that Samsung would do this and not allow me to allocate that button to do another function without 3rd party app is beyond belief considering that Bixby is still in Beta phase.
I didn't buy a my phone to take part in a Beta, it's lazy stuff.... and a bit greedy tbh in my opinion ....... "ahhh let's just release the S8 and S8 Plus NOW, we can always sort out Bixby later" thinking.
I love my phone but that doesn't mean I will defend to Samsung regardless.
like this phone design its look awesome but when i see drop test this phone its very bad.but it is good phone.
I've had it a month and.... underwhelmed.
Start with the positives: It's seemingly; waterproof, durable, speedy (processor), good graphics, good display, GPS is pretty accurate, all my apps run without issue.
... pretty solid phone.
On the negative: Bigby, Bexby whatever it's called... I don't want a Samsung account so am stuck with a useless button. Curved screen... gimmick.
Conclusion: A solid phone but lacks geatures that I truly find useful. Trying to do the proprietry thing that I original avoided Apple for. Ultimately... not worth the pricetag.
It's best phone with no doubt.
But if you are a photography freak and you are portrait lover just wait for Note 8 release.
Because it doesn't have dual camera only.
But it's camera is excellent though.

Thank you so much for your lecture, it's why I keep coming back to be enlightened by such helpful and respectful people like You.
Even I am sailing in the same boat. I also have iPhone 7 Plus. But since last one week not getting the courage to buy S8 or S8 Plus because I am confused. But I might go for S8 because of two reasons: I want a smaller phone and it is not that small also; second is the price factor. Every phone price drops and no use buying an S8 Plus which is as costly as iPhone 7 Plus.
